California State Highway 1, also known as the Pacific Coast Highway in Southern California, runs along the Pacific coast for most of the length of the state of California.

Highway 1 is famous for boasting some of the most beautiful coastline in the world, including the cliffs of Big Sur and the beaches of southern California. For most of its length, Highway 1 is a winding, two lane road. State parks and small coastal towns can be found amongst hundreds of miles of wilderness.
