He joined the group in 1980 when Randy Jones left. He was born in Manchester but currently resides in Cheshire. He joined the Village People after a friend informed him that a pop-group was looking for a singer/dancer. Prior to joining Village People he was the owner of a bar in Stockport. Today, he is on the board of directors for Sixuvus Ltd., the company formed out of Village People.
