Advise to assume good faith

Hi - with regard to your note on Talk:Tällberg Forum - I tried to clean up the information you added. As written, it was fragmentary, ungrammatical and did not cause the right thing to happen with regard to references. Additions that look that bad are likely to be reverted simply because people don't understand what you are saying.

Please assume good faith, and try to make sure your contributions not only say something important, but actually are readable for others. Enjoy Misplaced Pages! --Alvestrand (talk) 21:02, 12 October 2009 (UTC)

Welcome to Misplaced Pages. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Frank Luntz has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline from Misplaced Pages. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Misplaced Pages. I removed the following link(s): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2T4UF_Rmlio&feature=related (matching the regex rule \byoutube\.com). If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Misplaced Pages's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file. Video links are also strongly deprecated by our guidelines for external links, partly because they're useless to people with slow internet connections.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Misplaced Pages's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 21:07, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

Talk:Biosequestration

Thank you for your contributions to the encyclopedia! In case you are not already aware, an article to which you have recently contributed, Biosequestration, is on article probation. A detailed description of the terms of article probation may be found at Misplaced Pages:General sanctions/Climate change probation. Also note that the terms of some article probations extend to related articles and their associated talk pages.

The above is a templated message. Please accept it as a routine friendly notice, not as a claim that there is any problem with your edits. Thank you. -- TS 18:24, 9 February 2010 (UTC)

Edit summaries

Hi there. I notice that in your recent edits, you have been adding a string of unrelated links to your edit summary. This is unhelpful; the edit summary for an edit should just describe what was changed in that edit, and shouldn't link to other articles unless there's a good reason to do so. You may have been doing this by accident, in which case this page may be helpful: Help:Edit summary. If you have any questions, please ask me on my talk page. Happy editing. Welcome to Misplaced Pages. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Misplaced Pages, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Talk:Wicked problem with this edit, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Why, they were edits to my own Talk words? 209.255.78.138 (talk) 19:52, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
Sorry, I reverted my removal, I misidentified your comment as unconstructive, I have checked and it seems totally legit. Again, sorry about that, and if you want I'll remove this warning I added, just let me know. Monty845 19:54, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
No problem. Thank you. 209.255.78.138 (talk) 19:56, 7 April 2011 (UTC)

Per Talk:Intertropical Convergence Zone and Intertropical Convergence Zone edits, Mr. Rubin.

(revert back to Vsmith; the remaining additions have nothing to do with editing this article, and little to do with editing any article. If I were still to WP:AGF, the logical assumption would be that a vandal is _now_ using that IP.), I do not like your accusatory tone. You seem to be on a ramage against IP Users, of which I am one. I do not plan to be called a liar by you, and I do not see why in the ITCZ history you called another IP User one. 209.255.78.138 (talk) 20:19, 7 April 2011 (UTC)

I will move my comments here, from Talk:ITCZ ...

... if they bother you or User:Vsmith for perceived Ad hominem concerns. 209.255.78.138 (talk) 20:54, 7 April 2011 (UTC)

For what it's worth, I apologize for calling you a liar. Showing no comprehension of the contents of the sources you are quoting, yes. Lieing about the contents, I'm not sure. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 01:32, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
User:Arthur Rubin stated about Special:Contributions/99.109.127.154 comment=Anon frequently lies about sources; could someone confirm. It's in the link above. 99.181.146.244 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 03:54, 8 April 2011 (UTC).
True, I did say that, and I tend to believe if. However, what I should have said is "anon is frequently blatantly wrong about the content of references", not implying the problem is whether you're lying, you didn't read the material, or you didn't comprehend the material. I'm afraid I can't imagine a fourth alternative. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 16:49, 8 April 2011 (UTC)

What? Arthur your responses are confusing. If you are responding to me (Special:Contributions/209.255.78.138) respond to me, otherwise I'm just going to ignore your comments. 209.255.78.138 (talk) 19:09, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
