I see that you indented a comment that I had made at Misplaced Pages:In the news/Candidates. However, my original identation was as I intended, as I was not replying to your comment, but to the earlier one by DBigXray—which you already replied to. See example 2 at Misplaced Pages:Indentation#Indentation_examples; both responses should be at the same level in that case. Anyways, no worries. Just something to be aware of. Continuing the the conversation
Hi Sca
To save us having to squint at each other's replies on the ERRORS page, I'll continue the conversation here. I would have thought "South Korean film" is precisely a false title though. The classic examples given, for those who insist false titles are wrong, are things like:
Correct: | President Donald Trump... (this is an actual title) |
Correct: | The American president Donald Trump... (a descriptive adjective preceded by "the") |
Incorrect: | American president Donald Trump... (a false title, because "American president" isn't actually an official thing) |
The "South Korean film" modifier in front of Parasite looks exactly like "American president" to me... Cheers — Amakuru (talk) 14:41, 13 February 2020 (UTC)
- Agree. Seems to me that's why it needs a 'the' to show that it's a specific, singular subject we're introducing. (It also seems to me that "U.S. (with periods!) President Donald Trump" would be correct, as president of the United States is an office, while president of America isn't.) – Sca (talk) 15:34, 13 February 2020 (UTC)
Recent deaths
(Just got the sad news that another friend died ...) - I seem to have my daily share on the ITNN page, and the more female and foreign, the less attention, it seems. Her name is Sonja, an she atracted millions in her prime. That part of sadness could be helped ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:15, 20 February 2020 (UTC)
It was helped. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:01, 20 February 2020 (UTC)
Sorry for bothering you, but...
- New Page Patrol needs experienced volunteers
- New Page Patrol is currently struggling to keep up with the influx of new articles. We could use a few extra hands on deck if you think you can help.
- Reviewing/patrolling a page doesn't take much time but it requires a good understanding of Misplaced Pages policies and guidelines; Misplaced Pages needs experienced users to perform this task and there are precious few with the appropriate skills. Even a couple reviews a day can make a huge difference.
- If you would like to join the project and help out, please see the granting conditions and review our instructions page. You can apply for the user-right HERE. — Insertcleverphrasehere (click me!) 20:50, 1 March 2020 (UTC)

- Haroun and the Sea of Stories, apparently. – Sca (talk) 15:17, 26 April 2020 (UTC)
- Haroun and the Sea of Stories (opera) ;) - When I can't get a composer's article where I want it, I write about his composition, today see Credo, or this is the day from Psalm 118. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:23, 28 April 2020 (UTC)

May
Thank you for article improvements in May, and ideas for me! - DYK my list of people for whose life I'm thankful enough to improve their articles? - I have a FAC open, one of Monteverdi's exceptional works, in memory of Brian who passed me his collected sources. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:01, 17 May 2020 (UTC)
- Glad to help out as I can, Gerda. Danke für deine Arbeit. – Sca (talk) 13:07, 18 May 2020 (UTC)

Dahlias in Walsdorf |

I like today's Main page, with the TFA on the anniversary day (of both dedication and our concert), a DYK, and a great photographer who didn't make it soon enough, Jürgen Schadeberg, - more on my talk, mostly about the tribute to Brian who shared his sources. Thank you for speaking up for the photographer! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 13:45, 2 September 2020 (UTC)

today's music, - enchanting, said a critic about the Mendelssohn that I heard on 3 October, - this video is older, and the YT in the article comes with a Bach encore as she played for us. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:46, 11 October 2020 (UTC)
October harvest
beautiful Main page today, don't miss the pic by a blocked user (of a 2013 play critical of refugee politics), nor a related video, interviews mostly German, but music and scene. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 23:20, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
