Don Murphy is an American film producer best known for Natural Born Killers.

His then-partner, Jane Hamsher, wrote a book about their turbulent process making that film called Killer Instinct. Murphy is a graduate of Chaminade High School and Georgetown University as well as the USC School of Cinema-Television. He is married to filmmaker Susan Montford.In 1997, Quentin Tarantino, who was upset by remarks attributed to Murphy in Killer Instinct, got into an altercation with Murphy at a Hollywood restaurant.. According to Murphy, Tarantino "sucker-punched" him, but the two have long since reconciled and put the incident behind them.. He is the originating producer of the upcoming Transformers film for which he attended the Toronto TransformersCon in 2006.
