You should have just deleted it on sight. It's not a hoax, it's WP:BJAODN fodder. Simply put, it's plain and simple WP:HOAX. Tomer 12:10, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
- Obvious and blatant hoaxes may be speedied under CSD G3 as vandalism. crz crztalk 19:22, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
- Sounds good. It's mildly funny, as hoaxes go... :-) Tomer 21:13, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
Anon reply
It is kind of dumb how people are aloud to edit someones user page. But anyway, I'll try to put my creative energy to good use. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.223.152.75 (talk • contribs).
Re: Welcome
Thanks, man. This encyclopedia is cool. I am happy to contribute a little. Tragic Baboon 04:29, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

I prodded the article once, and it was removed by the author, as he has done with your prod. When I asked for a source, he vandalized my user page. I think it needs to go to AfD unless you think it fits speedy criteria. Leebo 03:44, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
- I too wish it was possible to speedy such ridiculous claims, but I suppose the inherent restrictions make that tricky. I can easily see that he's not a famous rapper from D.C., but what about hoaxes where the notability isn't so easy to shoot down? I guess as long as a claim to notability is made (even if it's ridiculous) it has to be deleted through other means. Hopefully it means that some legitimate articles get a better chance too, though. Edit Summary Mark-Up
Thanks for the welcome. I have a question that I hope you can direct me. I've read every help page that seemed relevant without finding it. I understand what to put in the edit summary box in general. But I've noticed on some page (for ex. I was on a particular Article for Deletion page and when I checked the history to see how others noted their entries, I found a large number were written with an Arrow that links to the article for deletion entry followed by a link to the main article. I how to do this manually with links (like this: →Orthodox_Messianic_Jews) but since it seemed so common, I wondered I am just missing some shortcut (like the 4 tildes for a signature) to do this as well. Thanks so much! JerseyRabbi 06:58, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for posting the answer on my talk page. It makes complete sense and I am using the system the way you described right now. Much obliged. JerseyRabbi 18:21, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
Hey thanks
Hi Kubigula,
Thanks for the compliment. You can either tip your hat or tug your bow tie, one is just as good as the other (neither of which I happen to own, by the way). After my long campaign, the discussion was just closed as having "no consensus" and I'm hoping that the article is now pretty safe. Thanks again. Noroton 19:31, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
you must have a price on your head...
honestly, you user page has been vandalised at the most, 15 times, compared to a pathetic 8 on my page. someone doesn't like you :P--JWJW Long Live Esperanza! :) 16:13, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
Question
How do you make the UserBoxes and contents and sidebars? Also, How do you delete a page? Thanks for the advice on the redirect page. Contact me on my talk. User Talk:Ryan Keyes

Another Question
Hey, I learned how to make userboxes, but what are the color codes, or should I just guess? Also, how to you put a link to your talk page in a signature?

Link Request
Hi, can you give me the link to the rename request page? I fotgot the link. THANKS!!

Caledonia, MI
The fact that you are editing that is kind of odd. The odds of someone besides an editing cop searching it daily are about 1,000,000 to 1. Have a little chuckle, noone is gonna search Caledonia, and I was looking for a little joke. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Spartanforlife40 (talk • contribs) 00:34, 3 February 2007 (UTC).
RE: Pat on the back
Thank you very much, it always appreciated to be appreciated it's not just me though it's people like yourself who've come in and helped out that have started turning it into the complete system. Many thanks 08:35, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
In vain?
How dare you mention my name! I'm sure there's a rule against that somewhere. I did notice your post on my watchlist, so if I had disapproved of it I would have removed it as a personal attack. </facetious> Happy editing! Gracenotes § 00:24, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
Sorry
I'm sorry I did that, but it was for 2 reasons. One I was just angry at the game and two, I was curious how long a vandalzied page would take to be changed back into a proper article.
Again, sorry.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 74.110.120.72 (talk) 04:49, 7 February 2007(UTC)
Just goes to show that Misplaced Pages is NOT a haven for vandalism. Even the most low-key articles are guarded fiercely.
At least it wasen't just a blanked page or a random string of profanity eh? ;)
Small issue
OK I've sorted it witrh a slight re-word, Ok it's cheating I know, but it gets round the problem in the short term. You might want to ask Lucas, he's on the vandalproof IRC channel at the mo, I know virtually zero about wiki programming, but it sorted anyhoo. Cheers 19:28, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
Advice
Thanks for the advice. I won't apply again for another year. And no, I do not mess around on wikipedia.

Pop-up issue solved!
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I was so frustrated that I could not figure it out myself. Thanks for following up. I was going to have to ask someone for help. I'm glad help came to me. Cynrin 17:29, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
Thanks
It's been a week since my recent request for adminship passed, and since I haven't managed to delete the Main Page - yet - I figure it's safe to send these out. Thanks a lot for participating in my RfA; I hope to do a good job. If you see me doing something wrong, need help, or just want to have a chat, please don't hesitate to drop by :) – riana_dzasta 07:23, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for finding that guy. My rollback button got some exercise :) – riana_dzasta 02:03, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
- I'd say so too :) Sounds like the sort of user who'll be back for more, so I'll keep an eye out. – riana_dzasta 02:08, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
RfA thanks
Hi, Kubigula. Just popping round to say thanks for your vote of confidence on my RfA. Very much appreciated and I have a lot of people not to let down now, so I better not! Thanks again. Bubba hotep 21:33, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for reverting my page
I didn't even notice till just now. Haha. That was the second time my page has ever been vandalized. The first time was around half an hour ago. I figured it'd happen eventually, but I didn't think the first and second time would be so close together. lol. By two different people, too. Oh well. Thanks. Bsroiaadn 15:43, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- Haha. Thank you. Bsroiaadn 15:56, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
Problems Editing
Hello,
You may remember me, Ryan Keyes. You welcomed me to Misplaced Pages. Now I have a problem editing, and I may need your help. Whenever I am logged in, I can't just click on the edit this page tab. I have to click the + sign, or the edit tabs next to sections. But when I'm logged out, I can edit just fine. Do you know how to fix this problem? By the way, my logged out talk page is User talk:24.16.54.4 in case I can't edit my talk page. either one works.

my article on west hills was factual but deleted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i put factual evidence about a band director molesting and having sexual affairs with students in 2006. BUt i then got a message saying "it may be funny but dont put fake things on site". It was all over the news.... west hills high school had several cases of sexual misconduct last year!!! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by THEnick7 (talk • contribs) 16:58, 14 March 2007 (UTC).
Forever War (comics)
Hi. I will sadly have to un-disambiguate your link change to Masaryk unless you have added info. In the comics, as far as I know, there was no clear description as to which Masaryk was meant. I intentionally left the link as it was. MadMaxDog 05:56, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
- Re: your response on my page (don't you wish there was a better way to do these conversations?) - do you know if it is explained in the book? To be honest, I do not even know if it is contained in the book at all, and I don't have it here.
- Also, do you have any info on whether the sequel comic series has been translated into English? I have the French version, but I am somewhat hesitant to do an article about a series that has never been translated. MadMaxDog 05:36, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
Your unconstructive edits
You are the biggest turd ever. Despite having to resolve issues in the talk page you have to block the IP which is within reasonable grounds for reverting your bias opinion. No wonder so many users have vandalised your userpage. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 144.214.156.77 (talk) 03:53, 20 March 2007 (UTC).
McMaster University
Though your repeated reverts may be controversial to some people, I think they were the correct action because the IP kept reinserting a copyvio and was really insulting. The IP did suggest that you rewrite the information in your own words, but I think that it is the job of the person adding the information to rewrite it. Let me know if problems continue on this article. Academic Challenger 04:57, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- Let me just add if you remove the copyvio paragraph, there is NO way for the person who wrote it to have a chance to rewrite it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 144.214.156.77 (talk) 05:27, 20 March 2007 (UTC).
