Dorood (also Dorud) is a city in the Lorestan province in western Iran. The word dorood means the place where two rivers meet each other. "Do" means two and "rood" means river. "Dorood" is also a proper way of greeting in Persian.

It had an estimated population of 250000 in 2005.

Dorood is also the name of a giant oil field offshore the Iranian island of Kharg.
