A lot lizard is a slang term for a prostitute at a truck stop. Lot lizards are considered to be on the lower rungs of the sex industry hierarchy. The term was popularized by the book Sarah, a fictional account of the life of a truck stop prostitute. Police report that lot lizards also engage in pickpocketing, stealing wallets and other petty crimes. The phrase "lot lizard" is used in a lyric in the Green Day song "Misery" from their "Warning:" album: (Virginia was a "lot lizard" from FLA/She had a compound fracture in the "trunk")
