Does this board deal with close paraphrasing?
I know of one editor who has created a few hundred articles which are mostly close paraphrasing of articles from a copyrighted website. They have received copyvio warnings from User:Diannaa and a close paraphrasing warning from me, but things don't seem to change. Do I bring this kind of situation to CCI, or raise it at ANI or elsewhere, or both? Fram (talk) 09:10, 27 June 2024 (UTC)
- CCI is capable of handling close paraphrasing, yes. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 14:39, 27 June 2024 (UTC)
- Okay, thanks. I'll file a case here when I have a little more time. Fram (talk) 09:07, 28 June 2024 (UTC)
- @Fram if the user's behavior is not improving after the warnings, I suggest to open a thread at ANI as a way of preventing further damage. CCI tends to be very slow. Broc (talk) 07:49, 11 July 2024 (UTC)

Rewriting instructions
Just rewrote the clerk instructions for the page. Working on the default instructions next. All contributors with no history of copyright problems are welcome to contribute to clean up.
is put on the top of every page, but I've had numerous people ask if they can still help if they've had minor paraphrasing issues, and the general consensus is yes, they can. I think this should be changed to All contributors with no outstanding copyright problems
, with CCI cases and recent warnings/blocks counting as outstanding. IDK, I'm not up for bureaucracy, nor am I picky on what people want to count as outstanding. Sennecaster (Chat) 14:24, 3 September 2024 (UTC)
