- the common name for a dish popular in the Southwestern United States (e.g. - "chili is the official state dish of Texas"), see chili con carne
- a spice mix containing cumin, dried ground peppers and other spices, traditionally used to flavor this dish, or to impart its unique flavor to other Southwestern cusine, see chili powder
- an alternate spelling for the chile pepper, the fruit and plant of any one of several species of the genus Capsicum, see chile pepper
