Flint was born and raised in Braintree, Essex. In the late 1980s he met the DJ Liam Howlett in a rave club and expressed that he liked his music. Not much later he joined Howlett's new project, The Prodigy, in 1990. Originally he was only a dancer, but in 1996 he was the vocalist of the hit single Firestarter. The new trend continued with the next Prodigy single, Breathe, where Flint had the main vocals. The 1997 album The Fat of the Land featured Flint's vocal contributions to several tracks. In 2002 the single Baby's Got a Temper was released. It was heavily influenced by Flint's |punky style, which lead to Howlett's discredit of the song a while later. On the next Prodigy album, Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned, there were no features of Flint on vocals, although he did sing in one of the tracks on the Hotride single.
Flint has launched his solo project, Flint, which is punk related.
Flint is easily recognized by his maniac outfit, make-up and hair style. His vocal style is somewhat punkish, resembling other punk bands like Sex Pistols etc.
