Sometimes me, sometimes you!
Sometimes me, sometimes you!
Bonvenon, I consider my contributions as "me". Maybe to clarify a bit more, I'd say that I am "citizen of the world", trying to fulfill my role as an existing human by learning new things everyday. That sounds enough?! Well...

My name is Svest: Star Vega Electric Sound Torpedo (I mean a mix of four and I don't care if you pronounce it wrong). I got 4 legs but no kids and live 27 light years away from Vega. I can be located at Manchester, UK in case you are interested to help airlines make some more money! Do you really care about my age? Well, it's 31 as of 2005!

I give much attention to that mercury-in-glass thermometer at right. I get back here so often to check my status!

I first heard about Wiki in 2003 but I only started contributing in April 2005.

Interests

I am also into the SETI@Home project (I heard that a bunch of scientists and researchers need some free space on my hard disk to analyze the data received by their telescope in Arecibo. I said "yeah, why not?!". I am still thinking that's interesting).

I used to do some magazine collage.

My other interests are web applications development (using .NET platform though thinking to shift toward some other stuff like Java).

Languages, -I mean other than programming ones-, (Speaking 4 languages and still learning Esperanto though most people don't agree, telling me it's already a dead language). In Misplaced Pages, I started translating and thinking of contributing more.

History, Politics, Online Trivia games.

Now, if you ask me about what I "hate" most, I will immediatly and surely answer "Oh, you mean TV!!! That little funny and passive box".

Explaining what I do apart editing

  • Svest, does some taggings like {cleanups}, {wikifies}, {d}, {copyvio}, {stub}.
  • Svest does vote on Vfd's.
  • Svest, makes sure to avoid non-sense discussions.
  • and of course Svest, does mention that he is User:FayssalF, especially to lazy people.
  • Svest, always make sure to invite people to Wiki him up ™.
  • Svest is seriously joking when adding the ™ sign to his signature.

Picture of the day Reduced Gravity Walking Simulator The Reduced Gravity Walking Simulator was a facility developed by NASA in the early 1960s to study human movement under simulated lunar gravity conditions. It was located at NASA's Langley Research Center in Virginia and was designed to prepare astronauts for the Moon landings during the Apollo program. The simulator was tilted at a 9.5-degree angle from the vertical and test subjects were suspended on their side by cables at the same angle. This set-up allowed the trainees to walk along the surface while experiencing only one-sixth of Earth's gravity. It was also used to study the physiological effects on the astronaut's body during movement. In total, 24 astronauts used the simulator to train for lunar missions, including all three astronauts of the Apollo 1 mission. This photograph, taken in 1963, shows a test subject being suited up by two technicians on the Reduced Gravity Walking Simulator.Photograph credit: NASA ArchiveMore featured pictures...
