The American is a bimonthly business magazine founded in 2006 and edited by James Glassman. Writers have included Glassman, Charles Murray, Sally Satel, and Amity Shlaes. The magazine runs a website, American.com, updated every weekday, that has additional content and podcasts. The magazine is a project of the American Enterprise Institute.
