Your recent edits

I'd just like to point out a few things about your recent edits:

Basic Instinct 2

Please don't remove red links. These are red for a reason. If an article is written about that person/term/etc., then the link will automatically turn blue. If the link is red, it also signifies that there is a potential need for an article about that person/term/etc. If these red links are de-linked, then if someone does write an article about that subject, they would have to go around to all the individual articles that may have that subject in them and create links. Please see WP:REDLINK for more on this.

Reefer Madness (2005 film)

Titles of films, television shows, albums, and plays should be in italics. Titles of individual episodes or songs should be in "double quotes". See WP:MOS for more on this.

Female Trouble

Unless it's a title of something, the headings for sections should have a capital letter for the first word and lower case for subsequent words. e.g. External links and not External Links. See WP:MOS for more on this. Dismas| 02:40, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

Please stop removing the brackets for actors names with red links. Please read WP:REDLINK for more on this. Red links are not bad things. They indicate that an article is needed. Dismas| 11:14, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

Edit summaries

Hello. Please don't forget to provide an edit summary. Thank you. Pants 02:45, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

Witch Mountain

Hi, I redirected your recently-created article to the original film's article per notability guidelines for films. A film is not always guaranteed to be made until it enters production, and even in that case, the film could still fail. (The majority of articles of unfinished films are films that entered production and are notable than projects that are discussed and developed, of which there are many.) Hope you understand -- take a look at User:Erik/Link repository#Redirected projects for such examples. —Erik (talkcontrib) - 01:53, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

New Queer Cinema edits

Hi, I just reverted your recent edits to the New Queer Cinema article. Names of people should not be in italics, per the manual of style. Also, having red links in the article is useful as it shows us which articles need to be created. It's a good idea to get rid of red links if the article is never likely to be created, but chances are a director like Munch will have an article soon, and when he does, the New Queer Cinema page will automatically link there. Thanks, --BelovedFreak 10:54, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

Copyright status of Topper (2008 film)

Please do not post copyrighted material to Misplaced Pages without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Topper (2008 film). For legal reasons, we will delete copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites (www.imdb.com/title/tt0029682/ in this case) or from printed material.

If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author leave a message explaining the details on the article's talk page and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Misplaced Pages:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Topper (2008 film) with a link to where we can find that note;
  • If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on the article's talk page. Alternatively, you may create a note on your web page releasing the work under the GFDL and then leave a note at Talk:Topper (2008 film) with a link to the details.

Otherwise, you are encouraged to rewrite this article in your own original words to avoid any copyright infringement. Thank you. BURNyA 23:02, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

Stub tags on userpages

I believe you should know why I removed the stub tag from your userpage. If you read WP:STUB#Basic_information, it states that a stub is an article containing only a few sentences of text which is too short to provide encyclopedic coverage of a subject, but not so short as to provide no useful information. Your userpage is not an article. Pants 01:14, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

Actor names in italics?

It does not seem common to use italics for names of actors, they are used for titles of films etc., and it is against the current guideline in Misplaced Pages:WikiProject_Films/Style_guidelines#Plot. For uniformity, please discuss it first at Misplaced Pages talk:WikiProject Films/Style guidelines.--Patrick 09:43, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Pluttifikation

A tag has been placed on Pluttifikation, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages per CSD g12.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Misplaced Pages criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. Thedjatclubrock :) 00:22, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

Edmund Kayyuen Lo

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Edmund Kayyuen Lo, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Misplaced Pages's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Misplaced Pages is not" and Misplaced Pages's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. SiobhanHansa 14:52, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Edmund Kayyuen Lo

Edmund Kayyuen Lo, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that Edmund Kayyuen Lo satisfies Misplaced Pages's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Misplaced Pages is not" and the Misplaced Pages deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Edmund Kayyuen Lo and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Edmund Kayyuen Lo during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. -- SiobhanHansa 01:11, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

Please do not delete AfD notices from articles where the discussion is still underway (as you did here). If you wish to make a case for keeping the article then comment at the discussion. Thank you. -- SiobhanHansa 17:17, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

Removal of speedy deletion tag

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from articles you have created yourself, as you did with Pluttifikation. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you. Pants 01:21, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

inappropriate edits

Hi, please don't add yourself to articles, like you did to Novato, California, unless you can demonstrate notability. If you are notable, a mainspace article can be written about you which would be listed on other pages. Also, please don't add yourself to categories meant for mainspace articles. Thanks, --BelovedFreak 10:51, 16 September 2007 (UTC)

Another Gay Sequel: Gays Gone Wild

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Another Gay Sequel: Gays Gone Wild, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://us.imdb.com/title/tt1051981. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 01:35, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

Bolding

I've noticed you remove the bolding from Cast sections. If you will look at WP:MOSFILMS, both "Actor" and "Character" get bolded. Unless there is no information other than their names (which isn't the case for Halloween, nor for the three Spider-Man films), they always get bolded to help distinguish the names out of the prose content that follows them. Also, your last edit removed all the foreign Wiki links. Those are there for a reason also. I don't know if that was unintentional or not, just letting you know that you removed that and you shouldn't have.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 02:24, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

Bring It On (film)

Please do not delete content from pages on Misplaced Pages, as you did to Bring It On (film). Your edits do not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use Misplaced Pages:Sandbox for test edits. Thank you. Ward3001 02:00, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

West Side Story (film) and your plot addition

I removed your plot on this article because it was a copyright violation. It it appears to include a substantial copy of the IMDB : . For legal reasons, Misplaced Pages cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Thank you. JeanColumbia 17:40, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

Interlanguage links

Please stop removing interlanguage links from articles such as The Squid and the Whale and Hairspray. Interlanguage links are the links that often come at the end of articles that look like ] or ]. These are links to versions of the page in other non-English versions of Misplaced Pages. They appear in a box on the left side of the screen under the search box in a section called "In other languages." It looks like you've made some really great edits so I wonder why you're doing this. --Pixelface 11:49, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

Please stop. If you continue removing interlanguage links as you did to Cursed (film) you may be blocked from editing. I don't know if it was your intention, but you have removed the interlanguage links from several articles. If it was a mistake, please disregard this message. But if you continue to remove interlanguage links on purpose, you may be blocked for vandalizing articles. --Pixelface 12:22, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

Fight Club

Please do not re-add the Cast section -- I explained in my edit summary that reverted you, the primary characters are already identified and analyzed. Please read WP:MOSFILMS#Cast and crew information for more detail -- a cast list, considering the narrow focus of the film on a limited number of characters, is not very informative and thus unnecessary. —Erik (talkcontrib) - 03:13, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

AfD nomination of The Fast and the Furious 4

An article that you have been involved in editing, The Fast and the Furious 4, has been listed for deletion. If you are interested in the deletion discussion, please participate by adding your comments at Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/The Fast and the Furious 4 (3rd nomination). Thank you. Musical Theatre song lists

The Musical Theatre structure guidelines for song lists are at , and state, in part: "Song lists should be bulletted (*), not numbered unless you can reference a particular copy of the full score (or full vocal score or Piano/Conductor score) and are using the numbers within.". Please consider reading this article before you make any more edits to Musical theatre articles. Thank you for your attention to this. JeanColumbia 08:01, 14 October 2007 (UTC)

Hairspray (musical) (vandal warning #1)

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Misplaced Pages, as you did to Hairspray (musical), you will be blocked from editing.

You bolded the songs in the song list at Hairspray (musical). I have reverted your edit because: "In popular music, album titles should be in italics, and song and single titles should be in quotes..." JeanColumbia 08:23, 16 October 2007 (UTC)
