Greg "The Hammer" Williams is an American radio personality from Boyd, Texas and a former co-host on The Hardline with Mike Rhyner on the sports radio station KTCK 1310 The Ticket in Dallas, Texas.

In the early 1990s Williams hosted a public access television show called Sports Perspective that had amongst its panel members Mike Rhyner and Craig "Junior" Miller, who would go on to be future show hosts when 1310 The Ticket was launched. After numerous drug problems landed him in rehab, he finally managed to ruin his career and his friendships with fellow co-hosts on The Hardline in 2007. Greg Williams is a selfish, drug addicted asshole, and the general attitude of P1s in DFW is "Good Riddance". "Enjoy your Coke and Pills you self absorbed prick", one listener was quoted as saying. Like most people who can't get off drugs and straighten their lives out, Greg will more than likely become homeless and suck random cock for a night's fix, while getting AIDS and eating apple cores from a homeless shelter. Of course, the Hardline will live on with the awesomeness that is Mike and Corby, and will not miss Mr. Williams. In 2008, "Greggo" will be found dead in a strip club bathroom, and no one will care. Worst part is, it's all his own fault, but he doesn't care because he's coked to the gills. He had the world by the balls, and he pissed all over it.

Drug addiction

In 2004, Williams disappeared from the airwaves for approximately four weeks to battle an addiction to the prescription drug Lorcet and Vicodin but returned in full health. Greg, believing in The Ticket's mantra of "pulling back the curtain" (where other outlets might hide such information), disclosed on the airwaves the problems he had faced and described in detail the experience of in-patient rehabilitation.

At the end of February 2006, Williams disappeared from the airwaves a second time, leading many to believe he had relapsed into addiction. It was later revealed that Williams had indeed entered a rehab facility for an alleged cocaine addiction. This has not been confirmed or denied by Williams, or The Ticket, but reported by Richie Whitt of the Dallas Observer in an recent article. The Ticket's program director Jeff Catlin has since announced that an announcement regarding the Williams' status with the Ticket will be "soon".

In 2007, Greg's co-hosts began noticing his frequent absent-mindedness on the air, but Williams chalked it and his "stuffy nose" to being sick. However, on October 12, 2007 Williams disappeared from the airwaves for a third time, this time after only one segment on the air during his normal air time of 3-7 PM. As of December 6, 2007 Williams is still missing from the airwaves. As of December 11, 2007 the Hardline promos mention Mike Rhyner and Corby Davidson without the mention of Greg Williams.

In November 2007, Williams said he would like to return. Veiled comments and jokes by his co-hosts Mike Rhyner and Corby Davidson led to speculation that there is some dispute behind the scenes about Williams' continued involvement and the station announced that they would make an official statement about him soon. On December 6, 2007, it was revealed there was a "volatile face-to-face meeting" between Williams and his Hardline co-hosts after Thanksgiving 2007 and, as a result, Williams entered legal contract negotiations to arrange a suitable departure from the station..

As reported on December 20, 2007, Williams has now officially been released from employment at KTCK. Williams is currently seeking employment at other Dallas radio stations, but the non-compete clause in his contract remains in effect, which will prevent him from appearing on-air on any local radio station in any capacity for its duration. Williams' attorneys have issued a cease-and-desist order that prevents the station from using his name or his voice in any form on the station.
