The Lexington Men O' War were an ECHL hockey team that played at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky from 2002-2003. Much like Lexington's previous team before them (the Kentucky Thoroughblades), success on the ice didn't necessarily mean good business. They played their one and only season in 2002-2003.

Origin of Name

Lexington (known as the "Horse capital of the world") was once home to a famous thoroughbred whom some consider the greatest racing horse of all time known as Man O' War. Man O' War is also a name of a large street inside Lexington.
