Template:Icu The Jewish Internet Defense Force (JIDF) is an online organization that seeks to remove content it regards as anti-Semitic and promoting "violence and Islamic terrorism." The group has focused its attention specifically on Facebook, YouTube, Google Earth, and Misplaced Pages.

Facebook campaigns

The JIDF created a Facebook group entitled, "FACEBOOK: Why do you aid and abet terrorist organizations?", where it mobilized its members to report to Facebook administrators the existence of groups which they accused of violating Facebook's terms of use. They have claimed success in closing over 100 of these groups.

The JIDF have indicated that they began seizing control of a number of groups, most notably the Facebook group "Israel is not a country! Delist it from Facebook as a country" after Facebook administrators declined to delist them. According to the JIDF, Facebook argued that site was engaged in "legitimate political discourse", and declined to remove it. JIDF has referred to "Israel is not a country! Delist it from Facebook as a country" as "one of the most vile, antisemitic, pro-terrorist sites on the internet" and "the most active hate group of all".

Response

The administrators of the Facebook group ""Israel" is not a country!... ... Delist it from Facebook as a country!" (a successor to the original group seeking to delist Israel) have indicated that their site was created in response to an earlier Facebook group that sought to delist Palestine as a country. They also assert that racism toward Jews, Muslims and Arabs will not be tolerated on the site, and accuse the JIDF of creating fake administrator accounts on the original page.
