Welcome Message

Er...thanks for the welcome message you posted to my user page, but just so you know, that sort of thing usually goes on the user talk page, not the main user page. Generally, a user page is only edited by the user it pertains to. (Note also the explicit guideline from WP:Welcoming committee: "Be sure to place greetings on each user's talk page, not their user page.")

Also, for what it's worth, I've been on Misplaced Pages since 2006 (though I haven't really been very active until recently). True, my user page was blank, but that's just because I had never seen the need to do anything with it (though I was planning on putting some user boxes there soon anyway). But anyway, a welcome two years after I started editing--well, it's a nice gesture, I suppose, but I don't know that it's really necessary.  ;)

Anyway, I don't mean this to come across as a complaint; I realize you were just being friendly, and I do appreciate the thought. Just mainly wanted to point out the thing about not editing other users' user pages--like I said, that sort of thing generally goes on the user talk page.
