"Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" - is a song by American R&B singer Beyoncé Knowles. The song for her third solo album, I Am..., to be released November 18, 2008. It was released alongside "If I Were a Boy". The tracks were released on the radio and online October 8, 2008. The music video premiered on October 13, 2008 on MTV and BET.

Music video

The music video for "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" & "If I Were A Boy" are both directed by Jake Nava .

The simple black and white music video was shot in a studio with all the focus on the choreography. Throught the video, Beyoncé is seen with a mechanical arm, which represents the thought people have of Beyoncé being "superhuman". Only three girls are in the music videos including Beyoncé and two back-up dancers. During the climax of the song the girls are seen walking up a 45degree ramp while still dancing. When the music stops, the camera does a cloe-up of Beyoncé with the two backup dancers breathing heavily and Beyoncé moves her mechanical arm an laughs.
