2008 Arbitration Committee Election status

Shortcut

The next elections to the English Misplaced Pages's Arbitration Committee will commence on 1 December 2008. These are the sixth such elections, and the newly elected members will join Tranche Beta. Voting will run for two weeks (exactly fourteen days), and the results will be determined and announced by Jimbo Wales. Nominations will be accepted from 10 November 200824 November 2008. Once nominations are open, Users may declare their candidacy by submitting a candidate statement at /Candidate statements.

  • Per The ArbCom Page, the following Arbs' terms expire this year, all members of Tranche Beta;

  5. Thebainer (talk · contribs · email) (Stephen Bain, stephen.bain@gmail.com) - reappointed by Jimbo for one year per and therefore moved to Trache Gamma.
Further, three members of Tranche Gamma, whose terms were originally due to expire at the end of 2009, have resigned:

There are therefore seven open seats: five in Tranche Beta and two in Tranche Gamma.
