Suvin, is one of the extra-long category of Cotton varieties that has been developed by Sri. R. Krishnamourthy, and his associates. It is the best among them. This Interspecific variety, (Barbadese X Hirsutum ) is the longest, and finest Cotton fibre, developed by the Scientists of India. Its traits are similar to The Egyptian varieties, but the acreage for this cotton is restricted to small area, only in Tamilnadu. The cost of production is also very high. Suvin is facing these hurdles
