"Spelling" Article
While I appreciate your efforts to keep the pages on Misplaced Pages clean, the edits I made on the "Spelling" article clearly were constructive. It stated that "Hercules" is a common misspelling of the "correct" "Heracles." This is factually incorrect.

Sorry
I didn't know I did it I thought I had the right time. I suppose the computer automatically tells you the right date I am new on Misplaced Pages talk and don't do it very much so I don't know how to do it very well.Captain Virtue (talk)
Al Capone
The information on the Al Capone bio page is inaccurate. Would it be acceptable for me to edit the page if I provide verified sources ?Foreverprovence (talk) 07:01, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

- This is the sort of thing I was referring to in the above section. Someone seeing this section, has to go look on User talk:Foreverprovence to see what you said, and someone seeing the post there will have have to infer the the post there is about something posted here. - Note that it's an acceptable (within guidelines) conversational style here to ping-pong. I think more and more people are trending away from it (as I have) but it's not "wrong". Just inconvenient. ++Lar: t/c 18:51, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
- I agree that it's not wrong, but it is inconvenient. Cheers, Jack Merridew 09:38, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
- Jack, if you have a problem with it, go talk to Gogo Dodo about it, that's where I borrowed it from.— Dædαlus 22:12, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
- I don't know that editor and have not seen this issue with them; I saw it here and so I commented here. Regards, Jack Merridew 09:38, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
- You don't know me either, so I don't see what the problem is. You're just following me around, as far as I can see. Closing any AfDs I withdraw, etc. Please stay away from me, and let other editors handle things. You have a clear and present bias against me concerning your dealings with me, as evidenced by past encounters. Please leave me alone.— Dædαlus 19:45, 27 June 2009 (UTC)

Why?
You removed my comment and said that comments don't go there, but that whole section was specified, from the owner i might add, to leave comments regarding his work and our opinions of support or non support. You scrolled through 30 some comments to delete mine. Why? Did you hae a problem with what I said?--Obscure323 (talk) 19:49, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

just a note
This warning: is probably the sort you'll want to avoid in future... it was placed 4 months after the last contribution by the user you warned, and as was pointed out by several posters, is rather harsh. I know you know that now... but it's something to keep in mind. That user's not been around since, but if they ever turn up again, you may want to apologise. Hope that helps. ++Lar: t/c 22:53, 4 July 2009 (UTC)

- (Refactored from User_talk:Lar per my policy) Re, your message, I should have looked into that a bit more, all I saw at the time was a user who was continuously uploading images without licensing information, with no stop in sight. I'll try to avoid doing such in the future.— Dædαlus 00:09, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
- Nod. The odd thing about it though, was that the user hadn't done any uploads (or had any activity at all...) for 4 months at that point. I checked deleted (and oversighted) contributions as well, just to be sure I hadn't missed something in the contribs, and there were no deleted or oversighted contribs more recent than 4 months earlier. To be fair, that user strikes me as rather an odd case, Brion Vibber, our CTO, created a permission, and granted it to them, a permission never since given to any other user on en:wp that I could find. (which I just took away when Xeno asked about it(, which is why I noticed the message in the first place). Thanks for the follow up note to Heather... they may never come back but it was a good thing to do. (let's keep the thread here, ok? but I think we're probably done) ++Lar: t/c 00:42, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
