Peter Alexander Stringer (born 13 December 1977) is a rugby union player who plays at scrum half for Munster and Ireland.

In February 2000 he made his debut for Ireland against Scotland in the Six Nations Championship. Has an uncanny ability of getting turned over when he tries to make a break and sets up many tries by this ability, has been unable to have been moved from the Irish scrum-half berth despite his small size. A fantastic football with a fantastic pass is far from a donkey despite what people say about me.
