The Kingdom of EnenKio, or "EnenKio," for short, claims to be a sovereign Micronesian state in the Northern Marshall Islands. However, it is not recognized in any international forum as a sovereign state; nor is it a corporate or statutory entity.

Marshall Islands statement

In 1998, the government of the Marshall Islands stated:

The Government of the Republic of the Marshall Islands condemns the claims and activities asserted by (alleged) representatives of the "Kingdom of EnenKio" and the "Dominion of Melchizedek". The representatives making claims of separate sovereignty are not citizens of the Republic of the Marshall Islands and have no right to make claims on behalf of Marshallese landowners. Furthermore, these representatives are making fraudulent assertions that violate the Republic of the Marshall Islands's constitution. The area of land and ocean which the "Kingdom of EnenKio" asserts as a sovereign nation separate from the Marshall Islands and (some of) the area of land and ocean which the "Dominion of Melchizedek" is asserting control over are areas within the geographical and political boundaries of the Republic of the Marshall Islands.

Location

The Kingdom of Eneen-Kio claims the three uninhabited islands (Peale Island, Wake Island, and Wilkes Island) that are collectively known as Wake Island. They comprise a total area of approximately 6.5 km² and are situated approximately 2300 statute miles west of the Hawaiian Islands and 2000 miles from Japan. The nearest island neighbor is Bokak Atoll of the Marshalls group, some 300 miles to the south. This coral atoll has been called by different names through history, such as San Francisco, Lamira, Disclerta, Halcyon, Helsion, Wilson.

Welcome A Message from the King Aloha and Welcome, E komo mai. Come in and make yourself at home. That is the Hawaiian way of Aloha. I am Edmund Keli`i Silva Jr., known to my people as Keli`i. In July 2005, I returned to the Islands of Hawai`i to continue the process of restoring the Kingdom of Hawai`i. That process began in 1893, the day after the United States government minister in Hawai`i used United States Marines to overthrow the Kingdom government of Queen Liliu`okalani. You can read the United States admission regarding that illegal act in the Apology Resolution passed by the United States Congress and signed by President William Jefferson Clinton in 1993. Over the past 112 years, the painful loss of our national independence and the constant attacks on our efforts to preserve something of what is truly Hawaiian produced a large reservoir of anger and resentment. I am sure, when you read our Declaration of Independence, you will feel the depth of that reservoir. At the same time, we have never abandoned our fundamental commitment to Aloha. As the restoration of the Kingdom unfolds and hope is restored as well, the negative energy from our past will melt away and our Aloha will guide us toward making our nation a pono expression of both the ancient and the modern. Hawai`i will make its unique contribution to celebrating the Earth, responding to global warming, raising Human consciousness, and the many other positive pursuits that now call out to the Human Family. To the Hawaiian people, whether by blood or choice, I bring the good tidings of a restored nation. There is much rebuilding to be done and I will need your help. The Kingdom lived in the hearts and minds of its people while the government was in abstentia. As the Kingdom reemerges, I ask that you rejoice, let go of anger from the past, and contribute your best mana`o to the restoration process. If you are a citizen of another nation, we do need your assistance. As we welcome you, we ask that you welcome us back into the community of nations. You can do so by communicating to your government your support for the restoration of the Kingdom and requesting your government to grant recognition to the restored Kingdom. Together we can lift up the Hawaiian nation. I invite you to join us in that joyful process.
