Also, since the subject is deceased since less than a year, and he was an active celebrity as of 2008, he was probably photographed professionally or not a lot of times, and we shouldn't immediately rule out the possibility of a free alternative coming out after some effort. - That site itself gives me no special reason to believe this image to be PD. Good well-sourced PD images from the military are easy to get. We have not reason to rely on personal-projects websites. --Damiens.rf 03:11, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
