Christian Mark Cecil Purslow is the managing director of Liverpool Football Club. He was appointed in June 2009 as a replacement for Rick Parry.
After graduating in Modern and Medieval Languages at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge, he earned an MBA at Harvard Business School where he was a Baker Scholar. Prior to his appointment at Liverpool he founded MidOcean Partners, a private equity firm.
In September 2009, he agreed a £80million sponsorship deal with Standard Chartered Bank.
In June 2010 he oversaw the fire sale and asset stripping of Liverpool FC ensuring they would not be able to compete in the Premier league for some time to come.
