I'm here only sporadically, so if you leave a message, don't expect a prompt response.

Five monks were meditating when suddenly the wind picked up and a flag nearby flapped in the wind.

The first monk, the youngest of the group, broke his meditation and shouted, "Flag is moving!"

The second monk shouted, "Wind is moving!"

The third monk shouted, "Mind is moving!"

The fourth monk shouted, "Nothing is moving!"

The fifth monk, the eldest of the group, shouted, "Mouths are moving!"

WikiProject Economics census

Hello there. Sorry to bother you, but you are (titularly at least) a member of WP:WikiProject Economics, as defined by this category. If you don't know me, I'm a Misplaced Pages administrator, but an unqualified economist. I enjoy writing about economics, but I'm not very good at it, which is why I would like to support in any way I can the strong body of economists here on Misplaced Pages. I'm only bothering you because you are probably one of them. Together, I'd like us to establish the future direction of WikiProject Economics, but first, we need to know who we've got to help.

Whatever your area of expertise or level of qualification, if you're interested in helping with the WikiProject (even if only as part of a larger commitment to this wonderful online encyclopedia of ours), would you mind adding your signature to this page? It only takes a second. Thank you.

Re: Economics census message

Apologies for bombarding you with a message about WikiProject Economics (which is most definitely not mine), which at some point in the past you (or someone with your name) signed up for.

Specific suggestions may be forthcoming, otherwise, consider that one the first and only message you shall receive. - Jarry1250  19:25, 18 April 2010 (UTC)

Ah, you want proper economists for that; try the Project's talkpage itself if you haven't already. Far outside my expertise, I'm afraid. - Jarry1250  20:16, 18 April 2010 (UTC)

Quantum message

Hi zenwhat. I got your messages on my talk page, your question was a bit subtle/tricky so I didn't answer it immediately until I had time to think it over... but you've since removed your post. If you want I can still respond after I figure out exactly how to answer; but if you've lost interest, no worries... it's been sort of busy lately and I haven't had "several hours a day" to dedicate to Misplaced Pages anymore... Let me know if you're still interested in a response and I'll try to get back to you with a correct (albeit, belated) answer. Nimur (talk) 02:52, 22 June 2010 (UTC)

Heh. Forming the question concisely is the majority of the work - once the question is well formed, the answer is usually easy! I'll see what I can do on the desk (that's the best place for these questions; I can answer there but you'll get lots of additional feedback. I'm not really an expert in the theoretical stuff and haven't done QM in the "academic" sense in more than 4 years now). Nimur (talk) 03:18, 22 June 2010 (UTC)
