- East China Sea - China's local language name is Donghai (東海)
- South China Sea - Vietnam's local language name is Bien Dong (Biển Đông). The English translation is also used.
- Baltic Sea - the local language names in many countries, eg. German "Ostsee" and Swedish "Östersjön".
