Who I am

  • I am a queer, Jewish feminist.
  • I have been registered at Misplaced Pages since November 14, 2005.
  • I speak Italian and French fluently, and am learning German. I've translated articles from both the Italian and French Misplaced Pages and would be willing to do more.

What I do

  • I contribute to articles on theatrical and musical performance.
  • I keep an eye out for non-NPOV political buzzwords, like "protecting traditional marriage" and "pro-abortion."
  • I find references for things.

Pages created

Pages worked on significantly

  • Action of December 1669: rescued from proposed deletion as unsourced stub and expanded ninefold
  • The Antiquarian's Family: translated plot summary
  • Crisis pregnancy center: wrote, among other things, "False medical information" and "Religion" sections
  • David Kato: I didn't think I did all that much here (added a little bit on the Rolling Stone case, reactions to the murder, quote attesting importance; did a bit of organizing) but I was named in the DYK nomination, which I appreciate
  • GenderPAC: rescued from speedy deletion and wrote most of the article
  • King & King: helped with fivefold expansion
  • Vanina Vanini: wrote plot summary

What you should know

  • My time and energy are finite. The fact that I have not edited something - whether by changing some things in a highly problematic article and not others, or by passing over an article entirely - does not mean I agree with it as it stands.
  • I have a high respect for Misplaced Pages's guidelines, but the ones that I hold dearest are WP:NPOV and WP:V.
  • In August 2010, I was involved in a canvassing incident. Please read.
  • I think that no literature or theatre stub should be so small that it doesn't contain plot information.
  • I really hate when people put bare URLs in references. Seriously, even if you're not going to use a citation template, it's not so much work to use square brackets and a title.
  • I occasionally make silly mistakes in political articles, like labeling a legislator as a Democrat when they are in fact a Republican, or as a Senator when they are in fact a Representative. I apologize in advance.
  • I am gradually easing in to using Twinkle.
