Do not understand reversion
Recieved a message from you re a reversion. The reason is unclear. As you can see by the discussion page the editing had been discussed for some time with no one objecting and several agreeing that not only was the material removed irrelevant, but also origenal research that cited a blog written by the person who had added the material origenally. Please explaine to me the problem with this revision if it was for content. If I made a technical error I would also appreciate any advice in that regard. Thank you. 75.177.47.137 (talk) 07:25, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
Thank you for your actions, explantion, and advice. Good night. 75.177.47.137 (talk) 07:38, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
2014 FIFA World Cup
We both got had on the 2014 FIFA World Cup page. Someone added future results and we didn't see it and ended up helping the vandalism along. Oh well, an anonymous IP fixed it all. Bfootdav (talk) 17:35, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
Edit summary
This edit summary was confusing because "sp" normally refers to spelling; even if you meant you added a space, that's not really true either—you added a line break, broke up a paragraph, whatever. Also, you didn't move; anything "to" the lead; that sentence was already in the lead—you moved it to the beginning of the paragraph. I'm not saying this just to be an ass; rather, I wasted time looking for where in the body you moved the sentence from (because you don't move things to the lead, you summarize them there), only to discover you didn't actually do what you had said you did. A better ES would have been, "Paragraphing; moved sentence", or even, "Para; moved sentence". -Rrius (talk) 04:03, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
Your input is requested
As you have recently edited Andy Martin (American politician), I am writing to request your input at the article talk page, sections Vexed and disputed are the ones which outline the current issue. Many thanks in advance for your time. KillerChihuahuaAdvice 21:33, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
Objections to evolution
It's pretty annoying that the FAC was archived so quickly, especially since the comments seemed to indicate that the reviewers didn't really know what they were talking about. (So do you not speak English in Canada, or do you lack creationist? And the whole AiG/CMI split?) That said, I don't think the article was quite ready for FAC yet. Lots of little minutia that needs to be done, in terms of MOS compliance. Figured there was lots of time for that though. And, I suppose, the intro needs to be written in such a way that it's clear what the article is all about. Still, that could have been fixed quickly enough while at FAC, IMO. Your MedCom request
You mention that "ArbCom may be better" - please note that ArbCom does not arbitrate content disputes, but editor behavior. Do you feel that MastCell has acted inappropriately? KillerChihuahuaAdvice 16:38, 29 April 2010 (UTC)
- Not quite, as I said in the MedCom I want decisions to be somewhat binding and official. As the core argument is a continuation of the original MedCom (perceived overwhelming consensus vs. primary evidence), I thought ArbCom would be the next step in the resolution process. There is one aspect of MastCell's behavior I do find unacceptable, referencing a strong statement with a reference that simply does not support it; then removing my attempts to indicate it needs to be addressed. I allowed MastCell's new version to stay, simply to avoid escalation. It remains unsupported by the ref in the lead of a GA article.
- Mediation can address this, but ArbCom can enforce it. The goal however is not to punish anyone. It's absolutely possible I'm overstating Dolle's significance to the ABC issue by asking for it to be in the Lead as its recent/indirectly covers ABC. But MastCell has decided to preemptively overstate the opposite way, I guess to compensate for perceived lack of NPOV (improper weight) on my part in incorporating evidence of an ABC association. The problem is there is a disconnect between the NCI consensus MastCell editorializes toward, and the evidence. This tension is not fabricated by myself or pro-life Brind. It's the reality, one I intend to convey with nuanced up-to-date accuracy only Misplaced Pages can provide if given a chance, rather than black and white ideologies. - RoyBoy 02:31, 30 April 2010 (UTC)
About your interest in a "binding decision": There are no binding decisions on Misplaced Pages. Your only realistic option is voluntary agreement. WhatamIdoing (talk) 21:24, 30 April 2010 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for File:ChemicalGalaxy Longman 1951.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:ChemicalGalaxy Longman 1951.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Misplaced Pages constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 09:25, 22 June 2010 (UTC)

GA nom
Hi, I saw you nominated Loose Change for GA. I looked it over once and found the citations are badly formatted and often unclear, the external links section doesn't seem to follow guidelines, and the reliability of the sources cited is imo not always given. You may want to work that over again, no? Best wishes Hekerui (talk) 17:23, 26 June 2010 (UTC)
Your GA nomination of Loose Change (film)
The article Loose Change (film) you nominated as a good article has been placed on hold . The article is close to meeting the good article criteria, but there are some minor changes or clarifications needed to be addressed. If these are fixed within seven days, the article will pass, otherwise it will fail. See Talk:Loose Change (film) for things which need to be addressed. Viriditas (talk) 01:36, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
- Hi. Could you address the sourcing problem raised by Hekerui by removing the questionable sources? Thanks. Viriditas (talk) 09:17, 6 September 2010 (UTC)
- Due to the discussion on the GA review page, I've requested a second opinion. Viriditas (talk) 22:07, 8 September 2010 (UTC)
WP:ANI regarding User:Gniniv
User:Gniniv has filed another mediation request (this time through MedCab) nearly identical to the last one in which you took part. The Medcab report has resulted in an ANI report being filed. Your GA nomination of Loose Change (film)
The article Loose Change (film) you nominated as a good article has failed ; see Talk:Loose Change (film) for reasons why the nomination failed. If or when these points have been taken care of, you may apply for a new nomination of said article. If you oppose this decision, you may ask for a reassessment. Viriditas (talk) 01:41, 21 September 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry about that. I tried to get User:Erik involved but he never replied. You might try to contact him yourself. Viriditas (talk) 01:41, 21 September 2010 (UTC)
Blade Runner
From your username alone I'd guess you are a fan of Blade Runner and your edits suggest that too. I'm interested by the line like tears in the rain and I recall hearing it was something Hauer added to the film. (Unless skim reading and search has failed me again...) This doesn't seem to have been mentioned in the article. I'm thinking it should be mentioned as one of the most acclaimed bits of dialog in the film, and also noted that Hauer came up with the line. I'm hoping perhaps you might be able to help dig out sources to that effect? I vaguely recall Harrison Ford being jokingly annoyed about Hauer having the best line, and having come up with it too. Would appreciate your input, but I'll trawl through the references already in the article and see what I can dig up. -- Horkana (talk) 19:18, 26 October 2010 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:BladeRunner Spinner.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:BladeRunner Spinner.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Misplaced Pages. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Misplaced Pages (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. MfD nomination of Portal:Current events/Science and technology
Portal:Current events/Science and technology, a page you substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Misplaced Pages:Miscellany for deletion/Portal:Current events/Science and technology and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). File permission problem with File:Adbusters NY Billboard.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Adbusters NY Billboard.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-enwikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Misplaced Pages:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Misplaced Pages:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Misplaced Pages:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly 13:32, 22 December 2010 (UTC)

Blade Runner FAR
I have nominated Blade Runner for a featured article review here. Please join the discussion on whether this article meets featured article criteria. Articles are typically reviewed for two weeks. If substantial concerns are not addressed during the review period, the article will be moved to the Featured Article Removal Candidates list for a further period, where editors may declare "Keep" or "Delist" the article's featured status. The instructions for the review process are here. –Dream out loud (talk) 01:40, 1 April 2011 (UTC)
