Um...
I remember seeing somewhere that Piazzola or whatever is his last name in Japanese, but that Piasora was the name in English.
Also, why did you, or someone, delete the article I wrote on Albedo? It took me FOREVER to write it, and I'm sort of mad that it's gone. Did I waste all that time for nothing? I understand they should get articles LATER, but we might as well have kept the Albedo one, since I put so much time into it. Cyfin 23:31, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, I just noticed that a fellow user redirected the page. I'm going to restore it. I think we should probably hold a discussion about it. Thank you for responding. Deckiller 04:32, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
- Um, right, how do I partake in this discussion? I just got a Misplaced Pages account recently, so I'm totally clueless... Cyfin 23:34, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
- Basially, at the top of the page, you will see a "discussion" tab. Click on that, and it will take you to a discussion page. I posted the topic on the talk page for Albedo Piasora, which can also be found here: Talk:Albedo Piasora.
- Also, if Piasora is indeed the english translation, it should be the form used, since this is the english version. However, we'll need to cite some sources and change all the uses. Deckiller 04:36, 4 March 2006 (UTC)

Hey, here are some great policies and tips to help you out, since you're new with the cite:
- Misplaced Pages:What Misplaced Pages is not
- Misplaced Pages:Original research
- Misplaced Pages:Fancruft
- Misplaced Pages:Cite your sources
- Misplaced Pages:Manual of style
I look forward to seeing your future work! Deckiller 04:50, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks...I'm beginning to think it's too much of a hassle, though, heh... Cyfin 04:53, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
- It does take a while to get used to, but there is plenty of stuff you can work on; you can always make a series of minor edits, fix factual errors, help out with the Xenosaga pages. There are a lot of policies to read, but usually you'll encounter some of them after accidently violating them. Deckiller 04:55, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
- Off topic, but do you have a friend on he bus who talks about this? This is a long shot, but I'm just checking :) Deckiller 04:56, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, I was planning to do the minor edits. Sorry I'm being such a bother about this Albedo topic...I just really think it should stay up. I wouldn't have written it if I knew people were more for having Albedo remain on the listed villains. I just figured that nobody ever got around to writing one. X_x;;
- And no, none of my friends are really into Xenosaga, unfortunately.Cyfin 04:58, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
- Your decision goes under what we call WP:BOLD, meaning that you were bold in doing what you felt was right for the encyclopedia. And in the long run, having an article for Albedo, a major villain in two (perhaps three) hit games, is justified and appropriate. I only see one major problem with the article, and that's the minor amounts of speculation and original research, mainly dealing with the testament issue. Current events and ongoing events are always difficult to cover on Misplaced Pages, so it's fine. It was actually a great thing, because it woke us up to the fact that Xenosaga is starting to swing back around in popularity, especially with the upcoming release of Episode III. Deckiller 05:09, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah...I was just saying why his being a Testament is a possibility. I understand if it's sort of testing the limits. As for everything else in the article, I pretty much described every scene he was in, so hopefully I don't have too much speculation in there. Cyfin 05:12, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
- Not at all. We'll probably work on changing the plot summary into a detailed overview if people really want us to, but you are in no way being a bother. It's very rare that a user's first edit is creating a respectable article with solid information, which you have pretty much done. Deckiller 05:19, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
- Heh, thanks. That's why I'm so big on keeping it up and running, it took me forever to type it up, AND to figure out how to make those links, AND find where all the links should lead to...I pretty much learned a lot about Misplaced Pages WHILE typing it. Cyfin 05:22, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
- Nice, that's how I learned about Misplaced Pages, as well. I believe my first edit was creating the original Proto Merkabah article. Originally, there was about 80 Xenosaga pages, but people felt that it would be better if they were in lists by topic, instead of paragraph articles. That way, it's organized, and easily maintained/expanded/trimmed. Deckiller 05:25, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, here is my first "real" edit...it was under an IP address (meaning, I hadn't created an account yet): . Deckiller 05:27, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
- Hehe, that's cool! I actually had a lot of fun looking through all the lists in search of specific things though, I actually learned a few things about a game I'm obsessed with. And yeah, I had fixed up the Krelian article a bit with an IP address before I got an account. Cyfin 05:30, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
- Cool. Anyway, I have to head on off to bed (half past midnight here), so see you around. Happy editing! Deckiller 05:33, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
- Alright. Thanks for all the help! Cyfin 05:34, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
Merges, etc.
Hey, I'm thinking about merging some of the list information into the main article that you created; probably only two or three sentenes. Deckiller 17:02, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, I like that idea. It does cover some stuff that I didn't. Feel free to do to it what you want. Cyfin 17:05, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
- All set. Deckiller 17:12, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
- Pretty soon, I'm planning on a major edit to the Xenosaga lists. This is probably several days/weeks off, but if you're willing to help me, I'll be moving copies of the pages to User:Deckiller/list of (insert name here). I'm also letting Jarlaxle and a few others know of the major edits, but like I said, they're still several days off. Deckiller 17:24, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, sure, I'll gladly help. I don't quite understand what you're doing though. "Insert name here"? Cyfin 17:27, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
- Each list is going to have its own subpage in my userspace while I make the changes from there. The lists themselves will be tagged with the "Inuse" template, which lets people know that a major edit is being made. Deckiller 20:30, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
Thanks!
Not quite how I expected I'd get a barnstar, but very much appreciated nonetheless! Nach0king 00:21, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
FFIV Help
Hey, my name is Mike, and I could TOTALLY use your help! :) Just monitor the peer review and I suppose after that the pending FAC candidacy discussion, I'm sure it'll need a bunch more help to clear that high hurdle.
For now though, could you check to make sure that my Fair Use Citations are all set? That guy kept yelling at me about it and I'm not sure exactly how to meet his request. Thanks much! Judgesurreal777 06:53, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
Bail Organa / AT-TE
I noticed you changed Bail Organa and AT-TE after I did... Did you see anything else or can they get scratched off the general work list? Thanks Dark jedi requiem 15:53, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
- I'll try and remember that. Although I've worked on Bail Organa, Supreme Chancellor, Finis Valorum, AT-TE, Outer Rim Territories, AT-TE and Geonosis I'd prefer other people making sure it's correct before it get's scratched off. I'd hate say it's done and someone finding out it's wrong. :) Dark jedi requiem 18:06, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
Adminship
Good luck! —BorgHunter (talk) 03:06, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
Hello
First of all been away for quite a while, sorry about that, had some personal matters. The ranged weapons list im editing right now, im glad you like my edits since im removing many unecessary sentences that sound pov. I was afraid people going to get mad at me. Yes I did read your post regarding the video games and would surely love to help you. Thanks. Tutmosis 22:24, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
Final Fantasy VIII
Yeah, I didn't even notice those edits until you reverted them. I overlooked them because some other anon got reverted later on. So I didn't bother to check how far back it was reverted. Thanks for that, though. ~ Hibana 23:22, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
Hello,
I'm just a passer by, i frequent this place to see what others right about my favorite characters, and sometimes I make minor adjustments. Just thought I'd let you know that Rinoa's name in final fantasy VII is Heartly, not Heartilly, as far as I know atleast, heh. If I'm wrong I apologize,
thanks,

I'm thinking of supporting you for adminship, but I have something on my mind I want to talk to you about. From your answers, it seems that you have a lot of energy, and you're ready to learn and do some more interesting stuff which would benefit the project. You've expressed an inclination of wanting to do things "quickly" - reverting vandalism was one example you gave. There are many styles of leadership (and adminship for that matter), so I suppose my question to you is, where do you see yourself along the adminship spectrum? There are those who enjoy working the "front lines", who are sort of the first to spot vandalism and remove them. Then, there's also the more laid back type, sort of quietly working in the background, clearing up backlogs of various cleanup tasks and such. Would you anticipate moving along this spectrum every now and then? Why do you think you are a robust candidate for adminship? I'm looking for something very specific in your reply - but for the time being, I'll let you think about it for a little bit. I think you've got a lot of enthusiasm and potential, and I hope what I am sharing with you can help you even further them. --HappyCamper 01:41, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you for taking the time to ask me some questions.
- First, while I enjoy doing things quickly (but not recklessly), I also work on the other side of the spectrum. As an Administrator, I will be willing to work on both sides of the spectrum. As a matter of fact, I plan on dedicating set time periods of my time (subject to change) to my admin tasks, which includes backlogs and monitoring. I may even create a formal schedule. That is one of the reasons why I feel like I am ready to devote more time to administrative tasks; I love working on both sides of that spectrum. Sure, speed is important to vandal fighting and a plethora of other admin tasks, but I also enjoy taking it easy and doing important things that require a slow process. Furthermore, by having this balance of activities, I also reduce the chance of burning myself out.
- Moreover, I think there are two other reasons why I am ready for a plate of administrative tasks; first, as a vice president in an online Star Wars Fan Club, an ex-member of FBLA, and a friend of several business entrepreneurs/students, I feel that I have learned how to manage my internet time and balance my tasks well. In a lot of ways, consistency is a key to a strong administrator; if an admin contributes a lot one day, people will get the impression that he or she is litterally a machine. Therefore, they may pile questions, recommended tasks, and other issues at the admin. When the admin fails to meet all of those tasks, people may grow disappointed, and the admin may feel bad for not being able to maintain a steady level of participation. If I become an administrator, I will charge out of the gate (with editing and duties, of course), but not at a level that I can not maintain for an extended period of time, OR distract myself too much from my other wikipedia duties. Two weeks ago, I said I wasn't ready for this position because I was too focused on one project. Now, I am developing my time management skills and the ability to balance duties.
- Second, I try to be a realist and look at both sides of the picture. As I grow into an adult, this is required for me to live a healthy and productive live. Moreover, if I am to become a History or Business major, I will need to have such an outlook :). Giving positive AND negative feedback allows for a person to feel like they have accomplished something, yet they will understand that there is still work to be done. When one takes such a neutral, balanced point of view, it will reduce the amount of criticism one takes on the issue, because it borrows from both sides of the arguement and/or develops its own point. Neutrality is balance, and balance is key to administrative situations, live, and respectful content on this website.
- Again, thank you for taking the time to ask me the question, and I thank you for reading this lengthy, but hopefully solid answer. Deckiller 02:09, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
- I'm very impressed at how quickly you whipped up that response. Given more time, I think you would have quite a bit of polished prose there! I was looking for a mellow sentiment, and this complements very well with your perception of balance. Do you see why that is, and why it is useful? You've got an excellent road ahead of you - here's to success in your future endeavours, and in all you do! For your time, effort, and sincerity, I give you my set of vintage magical nails from my collections. Useful for building community and consensus :-) --HappyCamper 04:19, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you very much for the response and the gift ^_^. Misplaced Pages is indeed helping me as I morph into an adult, and I should always have a mellow and balanced approach. Deckiller 04:25, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
- You're welcome! :-) Well, in time you'll know what works best for you. For example, if you find yourself mediating edit wars and such, you will find that it will help you keep cool and remain neutral. Indeed, there is quite a bit to learn on Misplaced Pages. Communication skills is a big one for sure. I learn something new everyday too! Anyway, I'll see you around - take care! --HappyCamper 04:37, 4 March 2006 (UTC)

Star Wars WikiProject
We need to fiqure out a way to adveritize(for lack of a better word). Most users, especially new users, don't even know the Star Wars Portal or Wikiproject even exist. I bet there is also at least one older user who still doesn't know about the project. We should try putting the Portal template on more pages but what about the wikiproject. Congratulations! It's my pleasure to let you know that, consensus being reached, you are now an administrator. You should read the relevant policies and other pages linked to from the administrators' reading list before carrying out tasks like deletion, protection, banning users, and editing protected pages such as the Main Page. Most of what you do is easily reversible by other sysops, apart from page history merges and image deletion, so please be especially careful with those. You might find the new administrators' how-to guide helpful. Cheers! -- Cecropia 04:07, 10 March 2006 (UTC)

While working on the Star Wars portal I had a formatting problem in trying to get all the related portals in one section. Since there was no Television portal they had no parent portal. So instead of just elimanating one or adjusting the size I went and created Portal:Television just for that one format problem...I've lost it haven't I. Jedi6-(need help?) 07:33, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
