Kat Dennings (born June 13, 1986) is an American actress.
Dennings was born to a Jewish American family in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she was raised. She began her acting career in a 2000 episode of the HBO series Sex and the City. Since then she has acted in a number of television shows and movies, including the 2005 film The 40-Year-Old Virgin and the 2004 Hilary Duff film Raise Your Voice.
Even though Dennings is 19, most of the characters she plays tend to be "rebellious daughters" around 15 or 16.
She also appeared as the character "Zoey" on several episodes of ER in 2005 and 2006.
In a strange coincidence, she played the daughter of Bob Saget’s character in the 2001 television show Raising Dad. Dennings shares the birth date and year of Mary Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen who both played Saget’s daughter Michelle on the television show Full House.
