How to make your watchlist easier to read

If you use Firefox, there is a user script you can install called Watchlist sorter.

This script sorts your watchlist by namespace, and adds spaces within each entry. This makes the watchlist much easier to read.

To install the script, copy/paste the following line into your your common.js page. This will install the script across all your skins.

importScript("User:The Transhumanist/WatchlistSorter.js");

Note: After saving, you have to Bypass your cache. To do this in Firefox, hold down the Shift key while clicking Reload (or press Ctrl+Shift+R). Or, you may have to {{purge}} the Misplaced Pages server cache.

First article

Spotted a missing article in Category:Chess magazines, and decided to add CHESS magazine. Unfortunately I appear to have just missed out on the honour of creating the 1,000,000th article...

Second article

Baruch Harold Wood might be considered a better attempt at an article, except for the fact that I nicked... translated it from the German Misplaced Pages.

Thoughts on disambiguation pages

These thoughts are based on work I did on Ptolemy (disambiguation). This started when I realised that Ptolemaic redirected Over the course of a few days I edited Ptolemy (disambiguation) from this (25/03/2006) to this (28/02/2006). Most of the work involved organising the Ptolemies into sections, and early on I settled on a historical scheme to help make sense of this. Following on from that, I became interested in the etymology of Ptolemy, and the history of the name and the people bearing the name, and how the name has come to be used in today's world. This accounts for the etymological section, and the expansion into other languages. By the time of this version (29/03/2006), my earlier fears that the page was no longer a disambiguation page were confirmed.
