Romain Amalfitano (born 27 August 1989 in Nice) is a French footballer who plays for English club Newcastle United in the Premier League as an attacking midfielder. Amalfitano previously played in France for Stade Reims, Châteauroux and Evian.
Newcastle United
On 23 May 2012, it was confirmed that Amalfitano will be joining Newcastle on a free transfer. He will join the club on 1 July 2012 as his contract with Reims expires the day before.
Personal life
He is the younger brother of Morgan Amalfitano who currently plays for Marseille.
