Christopher Winship is Professor of sociology at Harvard University. He earned his bachelor degree in mathematics and sociology from Dartmouth College. He holds a Ph.D in sociology from Harvard. He served as the Chair of Harvard's sociology department from 1998 to 2001. He was Director of the Program in Mathematical Methods in the Social Sciences at Northwestern.
