Biography In 1518, a French women by the name of Frau Troffea started a movement which sent citizens of the world into a frenzy. This event became known as The Dancing Plague it became apparent that dancing to death was in fact a very real possibility.

Fast forward to 2012...

Frau Troffea continues to live in all of us, and the band is hoping to wake up some Frau Troffea in their listeners. Frau Troffea performs to make sure that long after the show the audience is still on their feet ready for more. Hours after the show has ended, the casual head bopping as you walk down the street with a groove stuck in your head, even the foot stomping as you sit on the bus.

Description Frau Troffea creates a unique blend of funk, jazz, rock, and dance. The drummer has a soul, the music has life, and the fans have fun. Frau Toffea plays shows for their fans and works to bring a fresh breath of musical air to the Midwest. They regularly play shows at music venues throughout the Chicagoland area. They have played with the band Umphrey's McGee and continue to produce rare and catchy music.
