Honda S2000

The Honda S2000 is a roadster-type automobile built by Honda.

The S2000 continued Honda's tradition of lightweight roadster 'S' cars. Launched in the fall of 2000, the S2000 came equipped with a 2.0 liter inline-4 engine producing 240 horsepower (179 kW) and 153 lb ft (207 Nm) torque.

The S2000 racked up the accolades, including Car and Driver 10 Best Awards, Engine of the Year Awards, and numerous other comparison tests.

The RWD platform surprised many in the industry since Honda only produced one other RWD car, that being their flagship model, the NSX.

In 2004, Honda increased the stroke of the engine, thus displacing 2.2 liters and putting out more torque as well.
