Chokkanathaswamy temple,Domlur , located in Bangalore city is dedicated to the deity Chokkanathaswamy or chokka Perumal(the Hindu god Vishnu). It is the oldest temple in the city and dates back to the Chola period 10 century AD. This temple is located in Domlur, Bangalore, India.
Several temples are also seen in this area namely Shaneswara temple,Kalki temple,Sri Suryanarayana Swamy temple, Kodandaram lingeswara swamy temple.

The Chola period Chokkanathaswamy temple,Domlur which is the oldest in the City.There are several notable sculptures and decorative features in the complex.The Temple is facing west.
Tiruppavai
The Tiruppavai is a collection of thirty stanzas (paasuram) in Tamil written by Andal, in praise of the Lord Perumal, (= Vishnu; Tamil)and is important in Tamil literature. Tamil tradition sung in the context of the Pavai vow observed throughout the month of Margazhi. Dhanur masa Tiruppavai are sung throughout the month.

Nearby areas include MG Road (10 mins), Indiranagar (5 mins), Koramanagala (10 mins). A major landmark in Domlur is the Airport road flyover on Old Airport road and Inner ring road junction.
