I just wanted to mention that the vandalism that you removed from this article was restored by the same editor, who responded to a bot post with a rambling post on his talk page. I nominated this article for deletion but am not monitoring Misplaced Pages too carefully, so the vandalism, which had borderline-defamatory fabrications, persisted for almost three days. If you could watchlist that article it would be great. I'll get it semiprotected if there are further incidents. Coretheapple (talk) 17:09, 8 August 2013 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for August 20

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Misplaced Pages appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

I mistakenly reverted your edit - I meant to revert to the version you actually reverted to. 2over0 caught it and fixed it. Herbxue (talk) 15:43, 22 August 2013 (UTC)

Thanks much for letting me know! That was thoughtful of you. DoorsAjar (talk) 19:15, 22 August 2013 (UTC)

So you're saying that Lando Calrissian is NOT Rashida Jones' father? Is there a reference page for this?

The editor adding content needs to provide the reference. The "burden of proof" rests on the person who adds a statement, especially to a biography of a living person like Rashida Jones. DoorsAjar (talk) 01:54, 30 August 2013 (UTC)

Sure, that's understandable. An alternative would be to put "Go Bears!" in the edit summary field--that gets your message across at least to some readers. Thanks for contributing! I hope you come back and edit other articles. DoorsAjar (talk) 02:56, 1 September 2013 (UTC)

Your request for rollback

Hi DoorsAjar. After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Misplaced Pages:New admin school/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Beeblebrox (talk) 21:37, 7 September 2013 (UTC)

Hello.. Mr. Doors

Why u hv removed the clan of kakatiyas??

Clan of Kakatiyas

Many inscriptions shows Kakatiyas as the rulers, who were belonged to Kamma ethnic race of Telangana region. Some sources shows that, the two Kakatiya chieftains, namely 'Kapaya' and 'Prolaya' were from the Durjaya clan of Musunuru family belongs to 'Kamma' Caste. And 'Prolaya' was the blood relation of Veera Pratapa Rudra. They were called as Musunuri Nayaks. Kakatiyas were also called as Kakatiya Nayaks (or) Karma/Kamma Nayaks. Among them Beta-I (1000–50) was the earliest Kakatiya Nayak.

Hi there. Thanks for writing to me. The problem wasn't that you were adding this content. The problem was that you were removing other parts of the article and didn't explain why. If you'd like to add the clan information without removing other text, go ahead. Let me know if you have other questions. DoorsAjar (talk) 02:53, 8 September 2013 (UTC)

Venizelos was Cretan.

I wrote the reason why removed that part of the origin of Venizelos. Make research if you want, but you don't have to make research for any monkey's propaganda.

It's a lie, he refers Mistra and laconic origin! and in brackets (Spatra)... that shows what kind of people wrote this, as Mistra has nothing to do with Sparta.

Sparta was there 2.5 thousands years ago, none knew where was Sparta some decades ago and none knows what Mistra means! it's the foreign name of nowdays Sparta... :D I'm saying this for understanding who they are.

The whole thing is a lie spreaded because Venizelos is important and his origin must be in the fog... must be not Cretan. An other theory wants Venizelos to be jew... They do such things with anything looks important. If you taking articles seriously and the whole Misplaced Pages you should remove propaganda.

I believe the following refs is also not constructive as the site contains too many commercial ads...thx http://www.clovecigarette.eu/about/ 223.255.230.23 (talk) 06:10, 16 September 2013 (UTC)

I agree. It's not what I'd call a reliable source. We need to find another source for the statements drawn from it or take them out. I'm actually just a recent changes patroller, and have to leave the computer for a little while; would you be willing to find another reference or remove the statements about Jamhari? It'd be much appreciated. DoorsAjar (talk) 06:16, 16 September 2013 (UTC)
Well, I took them out for the time being, because someone else put back the site. DoorsAjar (talk) 06:19, 16 September 2013 (UTC)

Hello DoorsAjar. I recently read a supplementary article to this wiki page, which stated that the eight snake segments represented the varying forms of genitalia among Franklin and his progressive cohorts whom were experimenting with sexual boundaries and identities. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.93.238.88 (talk) 22:38, 20 September 2013 (UTC)

Hi! Thanks for the courteous message. This info seems improbable to me, but if you have a reliable, independent (non-Misplaced Pages) source, you can add it to the article. DoorsAjar (talk) 22:41, 20 September 2013 (UTC)

Regarding Questioning Climate Change and Global Warming

Hey, there. Please note that when a user blanks a page he created, the best thing to do is just to stick a {{db-g7}} on it and get it deleted. When an author blanks his own page, it is usually taken as requesting its deletion, even if I had already placed a PROD on the page. Regards, TCN7JM 20:26, 21 September 2013 (UTC)

Thank you so much for telling me. That whole series of edits was a giant snafu on my part. If my brain had been at normal operating temperature, I'd have left the page blanked in the first place; that's what I've done up to now when I saw that the creator was the one doing the blanking. I'll use the g7 tag in future. Again, thanks for the kind note! DoorsAjar (talk) 20:32, 21 September 2013 (UTC)

Dr Who day of the Doctor dvd date.

Hi, Its a fact the episodes video release in US/Canada is a week after the UK's. I was gonna provide the the link from tvshowsondvd.com, the site wasn't working so I couldn't put up the link. Yet you guys don't say a word about the UK date. Theres no link there. If u want wiki to be accurate maybe u guys should accept readers contributions. Theres a thing as "google". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.148.91.67 (talk) 05:47, 23 September 2013 (UTC)

Hi there. To be in Misplaced Pages, it isn't enough for a fact to be true; it has to be published in a reliable source. See our reliable sources page for more info on what counts as an appropriate source. Also, except in rare cases, we don't link to sites whose primary purpose is selling things. That's why I deleted the link you added. Thank you for trying to make the encyclopedia better. I hope you read a bit more about how Misplaced Pages works and continue to contribute. Cheers. DoorsAjar (talk) 06:41, 23 September 2013 (UTC)

Saudi Arabia article

If you thought the message was not neutral, then you could mention what was not neutral in the comment, or rather correct it or remove it.

If on the other hand you literally wipe out my comment - and implicitly a whole new section that curiously was not available in the entire article- then obviously my opinion is that the one not being neutral here is you, which actually is my increasing opinion about the vast majority of the English Misplaced Pages.

Misplaced Pages is far from democratic in this way.

Hi there. I removed your comment for multiple reasons, only one of which was non-neutral perspective. Another major reason was that there were no references (reliable sources) cited. You're right that Misplaced Pages is explicitly not a democracy. It works through discussion and consensus. If you don't agree with what I did, you can write a message on the article's talk page explaining why that kind of section is necessary, and discuss it with other people who are particularly interested in the subject. I know it's unpleasant to have work removed; it does happen to every one of us here. Thanks for writing to me, and thanks for your patience. DoorsAjar (talk) 19:08, 23 September 2013 (UTC)

Hi

Hi

Rocky Lockridge

Hi. Sorry, I'm not Wikipedian enough to know how to do it, but the Rocky Lockridge is currently being discuessed on reddit, where people are encouraging graffiti. If you know how to protect the article, now is probably the time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Didshe (talkcontribs) 12:15, 24 September 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for looking out for the article's welfare! I'm not an admin, though, and even if I were, folks here don't do protection as a preventive measure. They generally wait till vandalism's happening at a fairly intense level. I'm not sure how much I'll be on Misplaced Pages in the next couple days, but I'll keep an eye on the article when I am. Again, thanks for helping out! DoorsAjar (talk) 09:51, 25 September 2013 (UTC)

Hi

whats was the reason for the removal?

thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mediator2014 (talkcontribs) 00:04, 26 September 2013 (UTC)

Hi there. I think you're talking about the link to tadelakhtcompany.com, right? If so, I removed it because Misplaced Pages doesn't allow promotional links. See Misplaced Pages:Spam#External_link_spamming. I understand that you may have added the link because you thought it might help the reader understand the subject of the article. However, it wasn't essential for that, and we really try to avoid links that promote products or services. Thanks for adding to the encyclopedia, and for writing to me. ABOUT THIS PAGE https://en.wikipedia.org/Canali

Dear Sir, sorry to bother you but I have a problem. I work in Canali spa company, in the headquarter based in Sovico, near Milan, in the comminucation dept. My boss, who is one of the owner of the Company, give me this new task: I must look into internet and check and adjust the best I can do into worldwideweb, about the "Canali" company.

We do not know who create this page but I need to change a big mistake that there is written. As this company HAS ALWAS BEEN OWNED BY THE CANALI FAMILY, it is not true that it is be bought by Brioni. Please let this sentence be deleted because it's a wrong info.

In the news few week, I would like to update someting such as picture ar numbers, can I work on this page and be sure that it won't be changed? I've understood that no advertising can be made, but I hope that numbers of shops can be updated, such as the picture, for example.

Thank you very much, Marina Valaderio Digital Specialist CANALI S.p.A. Via Lombardia, 17/19 - 20845 Sovico (MB) Tel.: +39 039 20 14 226 Email: marina.valaderio@canali.it — Preceding unsigned comment added by Marivala (talkcontribs) 08:12, 26 September 2013 (UTC)

Hi! Thanks for writing to me. It was a really good idea, because Misplaced Pages strongly discourages people from editing articles about their own company. Please read this important information about conflicts of interest. It will help you more than my message probably will.
If you would like to correct misinformation, click the "talk" tab at the top of the article page to go to the talk page. Explain who you are and post a request to have the information changed. Please understand, though, that Misplaced Pages requires information to be supported by reliable, independent sources. Editors here may not take your word for something, but may ask you to give an outside source (e.g., a newspaper). I'm honestly not very experienced in this particular area of editing Misplaced Pages. That's why I'm not offering to make the updates for you myself; I'm a bit worried I'd make a mistake.
As for your other question, no, you cannot be sure that changes you make will not be undone. Unfortunately, this is the nature of Misplaced Pages. Anyone can edit a page. No version of an article can be made permanent. Your boss has given you a hard task. He or she may not understand the way Misplaced Pages works. Please show your boss my message, if you want, and explain that you can't control your company's Misplaced Pages article. There are much better places on the Web to improve your company's image.
I hope this has been some help to you. If you don't find enough help in the conflict of interest link, or people aren't responding on the talk page, feel free to write to me again. Best of luck! DoorsAjar (talk) 08:37, 26 September 2013 (UTC)

Hello doorsAjar.

Thankyou for alerting us to the inappropriate changes to the linux kernel entries, I am now investigating this unnecessary and unwarranted behaviour which appears to have originated from within my company. 82.219.217.25 (talk) 11:40, 27 September 2013 (UTC)

editing of SO FRESH

Please block my child from editing the So Fresh wikepedia page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.164.1.148 (talk) 00:00, 30 September 2013 (UTC)

Hi there. I'm afraid I can't help you with this. First, I'm not an administrator; I don't have the power to block. Second, to the best of my knowledge, administrators will not create a block on a parent's request. Also, blocks are all or nothing, so we can't block someone from editing just one article.
You might find our blocking policy page helpful, though I don't think there's anything about your specific situation. Sorry I couldn't be of more use. DoorsAjar (talk) 08:02, 30 September 2013 (UTC)

Racism in sippar article

that sippar article has racism as it implies in the archaeology section that Iraqis are thief's. I am an iraqi and i am named after the city and i am offended by that remark. Please remove the racist phrase. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.240.77.90 (talk) 19:39, 30 September 2013 (UTC)

Hi! Thanks for contacting me. I've read the section, and to me it doesn't imply anything about who was doing the illegal excavations. Also, saying that crime occurred in a geographic area does not imply that the people who live there are generally criminals. If you still feel strongly that the section needs to change, I would suggest that you write a message about this on the article's talk page. All the best-- DoorsAjar (talk) 19:45, 30 September 2013 (UTC)

The source is one of the families whose son was arrested in 2006 because he was accused of being a part of Toronto 18. Mubin Shaikh was a planted CSIS agent and he instigated young boys to commit the crime. He was the one who actually made the group. The families of arrested children hold the Canadian Government and CSIS responsible for this manipulative strategy against their children. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 115.186.117.29 (talk) 19:42, 30 September 2013 (UTC)

Hi! Thanks for writing to me. I know it can be frustrating sometimes, but Misplaced Pages requires that sources be published. Please see the reliable sources page for guidance on which sources can be used to support statements in articles. DoorsAjar (talk) 19:52, 30 September 2013 (UTC)
