Surinder Singh born in a poor farmer's family in Haryana. A NSG Commando posted in Kargil during war of 1999, was also part of the United Nations Peace Mission to Congo. He was also one of the 26/11 heroes, having gunned down two terrorists during the terrorist attack on The Taj Mahal Palace Hotel Mumbai in 2008. He has been selected by the Aam Aadmi Party as their candidate for Delhi Cannt constituency in the Delhi state assembly elections, 2013.
