"I Will Never Let You Down"
Song

"I Will Never Let You Down" is a song recorded by British recording artist Rita Ora, it is the first single from her second studio album of O, the sophomore album of Rita Ora. The Whitney Houston-sounding track was written and produced by her boyfriend Calvin Harris ("We Found Love"). The song will be released in the United Kingdom on May 11, 2014.

Background

“I think this is the perfect song to launch my new album because I want it to be as personal and honest as possible and I’m happy right now,” said Rita. “I’m in a very good place. I really wanted people to just see how I felt and how I want other people to feel when they listen to my music, happy.”

Critical Reception

Upon its release, "I Will Never Let You Down" received widespread universal acclaim from music critics. Mike Wass of the website Idolator described it as a "radio-ready anthem... is impossible to beat". Greg Kot from the Chicago Tribune described the song's production as "predictable" and further added that the "audience-appreciation sing-along" sounds like it was created for being performed during an arena encore.
