Please read this before posting:
1) Do you have a problem with one of my edits? You may, since I tend to edit boldly and mercilessly.
2) Please do not quote basic policy to me. It's rude. I've been around here long enough to know what's going on. I follow policy to the best of my ability.
3) I can't do anything on Misplaced Pages that can't be undone. Please remember that before getting overly critical or hysterical.
4) I do a lot more reading on Misplaced Pages than contributing. As such, I like to edit to make articles more accessible to readers. As Joe Dirt said, "It's not what you like, it's the consumer."
5) Don't talk about me in the third person. I'm right here.
Thanks for your cooperation. I will respond to comments on this page. Personal attacks will be responded to automatically by a doomsday device which I am not able to shut down or control. Oh well, fair enough, Brian- I'm afraid you've dug your own hole here. People have, and are continuing, to try and help you. I, at least, won't in future. Good riddance to bad rubbish. One of the oldest tricks is to say "we're all concerned about you and wish we could help, if only you could...." Just because you're British doesn't make you better at mind games. I've graduated from an Ivy League university, and I've done hard time behind concrete walls for assault, my friend. I think I know human nature a little better than you do. If we were to meet face to face, you'd be at a distinct disadvatage as per my fingernails in your carotid sinus. As it is, you just look like what you are: a garden variety punk high on a couple of glasses of chardonnay from his grad school spring reception. Decide which you desire to finish more, my efforts at Misplaced Pages, or the parts of your dissertation that might keep a sad sack such as you in fellowship. Brian G.
