There are an unknown small number of Iranians in Pakistan, the vast majority of whom live in Karachi and Lahore. Most are students, while others are political asylum seekers, of which the latter are mostly Iranian Baloch. Other colonies can be found in Faisalabad, Islamabad, Peshawer and in the city of Multan. Most of these Iranians in Pakistan are Shia Muslims, although a number of them are Sunnis too.
