Jory Prum page

I noticed you speedy deleted Jory Prum in November for the stated reason of G11: Unambiguous advertising or promotion. I would like to request that the page please be reinstated and ask that someone rewrite it to be more encyclopedic and neutral. If you do a search of WP you'll see several pages (such as Grim Fandango, FlixMix, and Steven Fonti) that reference the person the page is about. The intent of the pages existence was not that of advertising, but of presence in WP in relation to multiple articles that discuss works this person has been a major contributor to. Thank you for your feedback regarding the revisions to the article. I have removed two of the External Links, as suggested, and decided to reduce the Gameography to a "Selected gameography" in order to appear less spammy. (I had merely been using other video game developers' articles as a template, but I agree that the list was unnecessarily long.)

I believe the article is now ready to move back into mainspace, however I received very strongly worded warnings from another editor regarding my involvement with the article. It is quite clear that the other editor spent more time considering my association with the article than actually reading the content and citations. I am concerned that the other editor will delete the article if I am responsible for moving it back to mainspace. Would you mind performing the "move" action so it is not me making that decision? Improper deletion

You deleted American Legion Post No. 1 under WP:CSD#G7 (single author requests deletion). This article was not eligible under that criterion. The original author (Jean Marc Cresson (talk · contribs)) created an article in French at American legion paris post 1. After a discussion on Talk:American legion paris post 1 regarding that article's speedy deletion, I removed the {{db-a10}} tag, moved the article to its proper location (American Legion Post No. 1) and translated it from French to English. In the process, I removed much of the material that was redundant with American Legion#History, and cleaned up the rest. Since the article at this point had at least two significant contributors, it should not have been eligible under WP:CSD#G7. I suspect that the original author was not fond of my revision, and blanked it, after which he replaced his original French text at the original page title. Harry W. Colmery

Why was the Harry W. Colmery page deleted - there are numerous articles online about him and he is currently in the running to be awarded a Presidential Medal of Freedom posthumously. Considering he wrote the first draft of one of the most important military documents for veterans today, I believe it would be in everyone's best interest for his page to exist.

Hi Jim, can you reinstate the page EurEau please. I'm trying to comply with the Misplaced Pages t&c's. I'm the new comms manager with the organisation. The guy from whom I got the information about the organistaion for this page is a former president and I can't make his document public. Yes, I quoted our website, but there are only a certain number of times or ways you can say the same thing, and anyway, whats the point in rewriting organistation blurb every time. Dear sir, Srijan is a techno-management festival of Jadavpur University, Kolkata, West Bengal, India which is a premier technical institution of India. So far the festival got tremendous response every year as like Kshitij by IIT Kharagpur, Techkriti by IIT Kanpur and its 8 years old festival. Srijan had made its identity, but its not having any information in wikipedia. You are kindly requested to un-deleted/re-publish the article( link- https://en.wikipedia.org/Srijan(JU) ). Help locating content/history of a deleted page?

Hello - I saw that you deleted the talk page for the Peter Levine article. I wasn't aware that it was up for deletion and would like to see the discussion on it. He's an author that I've followed and have seen him referenced in a number of other works so I would imagine that he would be considered notable enough for at least a brief article. Usually when an article is deleted it's pretty easy to follow the links back to the original article/talkpage, but in this case it seems to be a circular loop of links. Thanks for your reply. You didn't include a link so I'm not sure which article you are thinking of - but it's Levine rather than Levene. This is the error message that references your recent talk page deletion:

A quick google of "peter a levine" shows that the former article began with "Peter A. Levine (born 19 February 1942) is an American therapist, author and educator who specializes in the treatment and understanding of chronic stress...."

Hope that helps clarify things. Certainly I agree with strict adherence to encyclopedic standards for articles; in this case I was thinking that if the problem was a lack of sources that I could provide a few to help flesh out the article. I don't think I contributed much to the article in the past but I do recall reading it and it didn't strike me as spam. Curious to see the text of the article that was deemed speedy-delete worthy. Thanks again for your assistance in tracking that down. I still think it's strange that I can't easily see the text - usually it's right there for deleted articles, if you know where to look. --Karinpower (talk) 07:14, 5 February 2015 (UTC)

the article was moved to the unnecessary and malformed author & therapist version and then back to the correct form, so we are in the right place. The related article you linked to has its faults, but is at least referenced

Yes, the weird article move is I think the reason that I get caught in a loop when trying to find the text that was deleted. Can you point me to the archived text? I understand that nothing is completely gone from WP but saved in case anything is useable.

I would definitely like to view the text and evaluate it for myself.... If it seems salvageable I might make an effort for it. Though if it's not very good, it might be best to just further improve the Somatic Experiencing page. The references I have in mind are not cited there yet. I have added the sources that argue some claimed facts in that video are false. "An article which describes its subject from a neutral point of view does not qualify for criterion". I'm using this software for 5 years now, and I think it has the same value as the products, which already have articles in Misplaced Pages. Solarstone CSD

Just as a heads up I've removed the CSD tags on that. It doesn't seem overly promotional, nothing that a quick rewrite wouldn't fix and I don't think A7 applies as it makes a credible claim of notability (chart hits) which satisfies criteria 2 of WP:MUSICBIO: "Has had a single or album on any country's national music chart." This primary source confirms that. That's not to say the subject is worthy of a Misplaced Pages article, but a bit more scrutiny at AFD would be better in this case. G11. Unambiguous advertising or promotion

I accepted an article USC Eye Institute through AfC and my judgement may have been at fault in this instance. I am relatively inexperienced in working in AfC so I use the flowchart on this page to help me decide whether an article should be created. In this instance I decided the subject was notable and treated in an encyclopedic manner, was sufficiently neutral and well-enough sourced. Perhaps I was wrong. I did not consider the article wholly promotional and I did not and do not think it qualifies under "G11. Unambiguous advertising or promotion" for speedy deletion. However, when I saw that it had been tagged and was likely to be deleted, I felt an obligation to the creator to improve it and started working on it in my sandbox this morning. This was a good thing, because the article was deleted by you, some 10 hours after its creation, and by the time I came to replace the original version with my new version, it was gone. Perhaps you could look at my new version and see if you think it is acceptable, as my judgement in this matter is obviously flawed! Cwmhiraeth (talk) 09:00, 15 February 2015 (UTC)
