Use this banner to notify editors of maintenance work or tasks taking place across articles, for which help might be appreciated. Add it to Talk pages with the code:

{{Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Stargate/Notice|notice=yyyy-mm-dd}}

Where yyyy-mm-dd is the date of the notice you wish to display. Notices are pre-specified by their date. You can create new dates with new notices (see below) or use a custom notice with the code {{Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Stargate/Notice|notice=custom notice here}}.

Creating new wide-scale notices

You can create new notices as you wish, by creating a new page for your new notice at "Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Stargate/Notice/yyyy-mm-dd" (where you use the date applicable to the start of the notice).

Click here to create a new notice for today (2024-12-29)

or set a custom date below:

Always remember to remove notices once they are outdated. To insert a banner for a notice beginning today, you can use the code:

{{Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Stargate/Notice|notice=2024-12-29}}

Expiry

You can specify a date on which a note expires, by adding the parameter: expire=yyyy-mm-dd, e.g.:

{{Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Stargate/Notice|notice=2024-12-29|expire=2025-01-29}}

On that date the note will start to display a message asking readers to remove the banner.

Tracking notices

Any page with a notice on gets added to a special category (Category:WikiProject Stargate Notices (yyyy-mm-dd)). It is the responsibility of the notice-maker to keep an eye on this category, and remove the notices once they expire.

All notices will also be listed at this page.
