Consensus on Donald Trump
I noted that you mentioned wanting to establish consensus on the talk page for Donald Trump’s lead wording. It’s already established and found here: Talk:Donald Trump#Current consensus. The lead wording is item 17 on the list right now. Thanks. EricEnfermero (Talk) 11:27, 27 March 2018 (UTC)
Even without that consensus item, the ArbCom remedies shown at the top of the article's talk page state: "All editors must obtain consensus on the talk page of this article before reinstating any edits that have been challenged (via reversion)". You violated that with this edit. Since discretionary sanctions are in effect at that article, any admin can apply sanctions at will.
Even without those remedies, the first revert is standard WP:BRD process (the R stands for revert), so your statement "Go seek consensus in the talkpage before you unilaterally revert" was incorrect. The nutshell at WP:BRD states: "If your edit gets reverted, do not revert again. Instead, begin a discussion with the person who reverted your change to establish consensus."
Any way you look at it, the onus was on you to start a discussion, not anybody else. ―Mandruss ☎ 21:35, 28 March 2018 (UTC)
