Jacob Thomas Kiszka (born April 23, 1996) is the guitarist for Greta Van Fleet. He is the twin brother of the band's vocalist Josh Kiszka and the older brother of bass player Sam Kiszka.

Influences

Jake says that growing up in a musical family exposed him to a variety of American genres, particularly blues, folk, jazz, and soul. His father plays the harmonica and has a large collection of vinyl records, which Jake and his brothers, and , listened to as children and adolescents. Jake's major influences include John Lee Hooker, Bert Jansch, Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, Lead Belly, Pete Townshend, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Ritchie Blackmore and Jimi Hendrix; and the slide guitar of Elmore James and Duane Allman.

Equipment

Kiszka most frequently plays with a stock 1961 Gibson Les Paul SG, and for some songs uses a Gibson Custom Shop SG, and on others, a Coodercaster (a modified Fender Stratocaster, originally created by Ry Cooder), built by Greta Van Fleet's producer, Al Sutton. For amplifiers, he uses either a Marshall Astoria CME or a Vox AC30. He prefers a 0.10 set of D'Addario strings. For acoustic numbers he strums on a Gibson J-45 or a Gibson Hummingbird.
