P. T. Rajan was the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu from April 04, 1936 to August 24, 1936.He belonged to the Justice Party . His son Palanivel Rajan was also a politician belonging to the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam.He installed the present panchaloka idol of Swamy Ayyappa, the presiding deity at Sabarimala Temple .
