Hi, and welcome to Misplaced Pages.

I wanted to let you know that I have tagged your article Asian Wisconzine for deletion because it does not assert the notability of this webzine. In general we do not accept articles about web content unless they meet the criteria in our web notability guidelines. Thanks, Gwernol 02:35, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

Here are some points for your consideration:

1. The MAGAZINE is the FIRST AND ONLY ALL-INCLUSIVE MAGAZINE IN WISCONSIN. It is a milestone in itself.

2. The publisher has received various certificates of recognition from the governor of Wisconsin, the Dane County executive, and the Mayor of the City of Madison

3. Most recently, the publisher and editor received the 2006 Journalist of the year award for the State of Wisconsin from the US Small Business Administration.

4. Asian Wisconzine is the ONLY VENUE for discussions of issues being faced by Asian Americans in contemporary America.

It is a printed magazine with an online version distributed free in hundreds of retail outlets in Wisconsin, and has hundreds of paid subscribers in the academe, professional circles, neighborhood centers, and individual homes.

I hope this satisfies your said guidelines, and don't delete this in Misplaced Pages.

The only one of these that may meet the WP:WEB criteria is the Journalist of the Year Award. Do you have a reliable source for this award? It sounds like the award is for the publisher, not the magazine itself, so this may not be enough in itself. Has there been any other media coverage of the Wisconzine? Gwernol 02:54, 11 November 2006 (UTC) Like I said, the award is for the publisher and editor which she received because of the magazine. The magazine has already covered a lot of issues and can be viewed on the website's archives (www.asianwisconzine.com). The award can be verified at www.sba.gov as a pdf file. I've removed the speedy deletion notice and instead taken it to articles for deletion. This means that the article is no longer under immediate threat of deletion. What happens next is the community will discuss whether the article should be deleted for five days. Its not clear to me if the award you have cited is enough to meet the criteria in WP:WEB so we need a wider set of opinions. You are welcome to add your opinion at the discussion here. Good luck, Gwernol 03:58, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

Alden, shouting at people and making rude remarks is not helping your case in the slightest. Please remain calm and civil in your comments. Discuss the points being made and the policies being discussed, don't attack the motives of those who are commenting. These are good editors who are interested in the well being of Misplaced Pages. Attacking them is not going to persuade anyone to support your cause. Good luck, Gwernol 04:38, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

Latest revert

Please do not revert the Asian Wisconzine article again. Misplaced Pages cannot accept copyrighted material that you cut and pasted from other sites. as ZimZalaBim patiently explained to you. If you revert this back again I will have to block you from editing to ensure that you do not compromise the integrity of Misplaced Pages. We take copyright infringement very seriously at Misplaced Pages and do not tolerate the inclusion of copyrighted material. Thanks, Gwernol 05:07, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

which ones can i include???

I thought people wnted enough info about us, but it is constantly changed. --alden pascual

Alden, its quite simple: you cannot include any material that is copyrighted. Almost any text or image copied from the web is copyrighted, therefore cutting and pasting from a website is not allowed. You have to write new text in your own words, and please make sure it is written in an encyclopedic tone, which means from a neutral perspective. Thanks, Gwernol 05:13, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
