Many thanks for the welcome

Just getting my head around some of the formatting things; most of the bio stubs that I've started up have been fairly content-heavy, and could probably include headings so that the articles are easier to follow.

Request for adminship

Thanks for your offer for help, that would be great but, only if you are willing to and only if you have some time, I've only been a member for a few months so any help is appreciated!

American Australians

The only true fact that this page displayed was the fact that American Australians come form America. 99% of the facts were false, poorly interperated, or writtin to be humorous or vandolous.

Hi...misunderstanding?

I was recently given a warning http://en.wikipedia.org/search/?title=User_talk:202.54.254.35&redirect=no for vandalism, although I merely changed the 'b' of british to a capital 'B'...I'm not a vandal in any way :D, in fact, I thought about helping out Misplaced Pages for the benefit of the tons of users who access it every day, and I'm given a warning??! Well, thats the last time I use the edit option. See you.

RfC on RPJ

Hi. I'm advocating a case on behalf of a user who is experiencing numerous problems with RPJ. I can see from RPJ's talk page that you have interacted with him in the past. If you have a moment, would you be so kind as to head over to the RfC page and leave any guidance that might help in resolving this dispute. Thanks so much, and have a great day! User List Bug

There is currently a very bothersome user list bug that is affecting many VP users.¤~Persian Poet Gal 19:31, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

Sleddoggin

I figured a week would be long enough for them to get bored and stop. I also don't like going indefinite immediately. I'll check back in a week to see if they've picked up again.—WAvegetarian(talk) 21:46, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

Template

Can I have a link to the template you use to warn someone when they blank their own talk page? Thank you. --SonicChao 22:26, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

CSD R1's

I'm just as confused about the whole thing as you are. They're showing up to me as blue links in Special:BrokenRedirects. The 20-30 redirects that I was mainly tagging were all pointing to Abderrahim Goumri, which was probably deleted. However, the deletion log is empty and the discussion page doesn't exist (and doesn't have a deletion log either).

Wizardry Dragon seems to think that they were removed by an oversighted admin. We're just as confused as you are, but I had an admin buddy, Eagle 101, check into it and he can't see them either. It's my understanding that only Senior Bureaucrats can do this and only can they themselves see these deletions, even then only in the oversight logs. Perhaps you can shed some light on the matter? thadius856talk 02:54, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

Happyisgay

User:68.52.206.175 repeatedly reverts the sockpuppet message to User:Happyisgay claiming to be the person the username is defaming. After two warnings (from me and another user) the IP is no threatening to report me for allegedly defaming him. Can you help sort this? >_> -WarthogDemon 03:05, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

Glen, please sprotect the userpage; this is a clear-cut attempt at disruption by the IP. Daniel.Bryant 03:14, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
Cheers for the block. I've watchlisted the page, and if another IP/new user pops up, do you mind if I duck over here and notify you so it can be sprotected? Cheers (and why aren't you on IRC anymore), Daniel.Bryant 03:25, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
He's back. User:75.126.9.18 -WarthogDemon 03:50, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
Please sprotect and block the self-admitted proxy for block evasion and personal attacks (Misplaced Pages:Requests for checkuser/Case/DougHolton). Daniel.Bryant 03:51, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

No reason for that

There's no reason for name calling. Your personal attacks have gone on too long. You, MONGO and Daniel.Bryant seem to be working for some govt. agency. Is it true that one of you is employed by a secret government agency? Why are federal police involved in writing an encyclopedia? Misunderstandmentationalism 06:49, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

Umm I live in New Zealand and Daniel lives in Australia for a start  Glen  06:50, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
That narrows it down to MOMBO as the US federal agent. Then New Zealand -- home of the shared electronic intellegence gathering system used by US and British governments. ... it's all starting to make sense. Ofay 06:58, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
Yep, you got me  Glen  06:59, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
You must be really important, stopping vandalism on the sacred Wikipeduh web site. I bet some starving African child has a full belly as a result of your efforts. Maybe they can eat their free encyclopedia. Ofay 07:00, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
I've always wanted to work for ASIO... Daniel.Bryant 07:19, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
Glen, can you get on IRC, I need to discuss something with you. It'll only take about 5mins. Cheers, Daniel.Bryant 07:26, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

seriously bad acting

Glen, if you are serious about the NPOV rules then the whole Jerocho page should not be allowed, because it is just a great big marketing effort for the show. A little humour balances it nicely i think. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Matthew83 (talkcontribs) 10:09, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

75.9.47.5 is back

Would you please block him again, but for months rather? He has just vandalised the Today's featured article. Xx236 12:43, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

entertsiner Brandy

PLease remove all references to Scientology on her page as well as the report of the "church brawl" incident. Thank you.

MuscleTech/Hydroxycut Etc.

I made some edits. I won't be editing either of these two articles with the exception of fixing factual errors, for various personal reasons and reasons dealing with POV. However, if you have any specific questions or you're not sure about certain facts placed in these articles, feel free to ask me as I'm probably the most knowledgeable Wikipedian around on subjects relating to these articles! ;)

P.S Thanks Yankees-friend guy is a riot. He must be back on the meds though - all quiet for a couple of days - thankfully! Yankees76 23:19, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

Gardiner owns Iovate. MuscleTech is a brand name, the company with that name no longer exists. Yankees76 23:23, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
Exactly. That's done all of the time in States to avoid lawsuits (in this case ephedra related). AST Sports Science did the same thing. Yankees76 23:37, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

Re; Just an FYI

Thanks! :) Unblocked. -- Where 02:30, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

Thanks!

Thank you for the quick revert on my user page. As you may have noted, the user responsible is a persistent vandal. He needs a severe talking to. ---Charles 04:50, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

Procedural question

Glen, can I trouble you to take a quick look at the note I posted on WP:ANI#WP:CHILD? Two questions, really: Is it possible for you to delete the kid's user page to scrub his personal information from the page history? And where is the correct place to put questions like this? -- Jim Douglas (contribs) 04:57, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

Heh, nevermind question #1; User:Antandrus got it. So just question #2...was that the best place to post it? -- Jim Douglas (contribs) 04:59, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

User:I Like Messing With Misplaced Pages

Haha ok, I was thinking it was a bit of a suspect name. In which case there is another user I came across today: User:Wikipediavandalism who has no contributions, I may have put him/her off with my message. See you round. James086 10:16, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

Or perhaps the bot blocked them first. Oh well. See you. James086 10:18, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

Please Protect San Francisco, California page

Yes, I know it violates the rule not to protect featured articles. I'd like to invoke WP:IAR and plead that the page be semi-protected.

The San Francisco, California page, today's featured article, is being attacked constantly, and it is not being reverted quickly enough. One of the many instances that the page was replaced with a homophobic vulgarity did not get reverted for seven minutes.

Please help. Please override the "official" guideline.--DaveOinSF 18:54, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
